Balcony Bar & Restaurant

We ate here during the off-season. You can get here right through the lobby of the hotel and up the stairway on the left. There's a heated outdoor balcony and indoor seating. My friend really enjoyed her hummus platter with fried pita chips. I had the veggie quesadilla. The waffle fries came with an excellent chipotle dip. Our whole bill was really low and we enjoyed our meal here. Overall worth coming to.

We, of course, sat out on the balcony so you can overlook downtown Eureka. Our server was fast and attentive. Our food and beer came out quick. It was delicious! Our server checked on us for beers and what not often. We had a great time, with an excellent view. The only thing I would want different is I miss Eurekas live music that is usually all over the place.

Good food and atmosphere in a circa 1890 hotel. Regarding what many have mentioned on here, be aware of the auto 18% gratuity. There is a large notice on their menu and we didn't have a problem with it. But, they do try to trick you into leaving an additional tip on top of the 18%. (which is already a generous tip) They use a portable device to have you pay at the table and there isn't an itemized receipt, but there is a screen to add a tip, but there is already an 18% tip added. So, go and eat and enjoy, just buyer beware on the tip.

It started out good the waitress was friendly. Two beers later we were sitting for an hour never got our food while people who were seated after us were served. At first we thought service was just REALLY slow. But we got fed up and left. Went to a tried and true place down the street (The Spring on Main) and had a great meal with awesome, quick service.
