Cabot really makes you feel at home. The food was exceptional and our service was unparalleled. The views of Joseph Canyon during the day and the star gazing at night were amazing. Clean, cozy, quiet. What more could you ask for? We will definitely be back!

We had a great couple nights at Rim Rock celebrating our anniversary. Cabot and Kim (the hosts) were great, really welcoming, sweet with our pup, and create a really pleasant atmosphere. We loved the food and fresh seasonal veggies, and we couldn’t ask for any better scenery with the Canyon and Wallowas near by. It was a really special trip. We’ll be coming back!

This is literally the only place open for Thanksgiving in the entire region and, due to limited seating (it's small), is by reservation only. I'm sincerely grateful we found this place during my research or our stay in Joseph during the holiday would have been without a meal. RimRock Inn is in the national forest, not too far from the Washington State border. We were staying in Joseph, an hour south. The drive up was spectacular and we encountered a gorgeous canyon about five minutes before reaching the inn. The RimRock is exceptionally charming. The seating overlooked a magnificent vista. And as we began our evening meal, the moon started to rise above the horizon. It could not have been more idyllic. During the summer this establishment offers teepees as opposed to hotel rooms, though the owner did say they have one suite available. Worth going. And, as mentioned, they are the only place that offers a Thanksgiving feast as well as a Christmas feast.

This is the second time we have chosen this wonderful place to celebrate our anniversary and we have not been disappointed!! The facilities are great and the hosts are fantastic - and the location makes riding a motorcycle there totally worth it! Kim and Cabot make sure you are taken care of, almost pampered, and then you taste the food...!well, we never want to leave! Thank you so much for the perfect service and the here join the Rimrock Inn family attitude! You guys are the best and we will be back to sleep in a teepee and make s’mores over the fire ! Thank you!

I booked a Friday evening barbecue dinner for myself and 15 old college friends (dating from Oregon State University in 1966), and owners Kim and Cabot went out of their way to accommodate all of us. Drinks were served on the beautiful deck near the edge of Joseph Canyon, followed by a wonderful dinner served buffet-style. My friends, including one couple from New York, couldn't stop talking about the memorable experience. Thank You!

I stayed with my husband and two young kids in the large teepee over Father's Day Weekend 2014. The views of Joseph Creek Canyon are absolutely breathtaking. The teepee itself was extremely comfortable. We enjoyed having a fire inside. The sheets were some of the most comfortable I've ever slept on (we even ordered a set for home after visiting). The bathroom and showers were extremely comfortable and clean. We really enjoyed the breakfasts and dinner we had at the restaurant. Each meal utilized fresh, local produce and was thoughtfully prepared. The staff was simply awesome - informative, fun to talk to and very accommodating with small kids. We have already booked our return trip for this summer and hope to make it an annual tradition!

The new owners (Cabot & Kim) have been here for just over a year and they are DELIGHTFUL people. We stayed in one of the "glamping" tipis overlooking the canyon between Courtney Butte and Table Mountain. The scenery is stunning. This morning we watched as two game hens (not sure which species) forged for food next to our tipis. The food (dinner & breakfast) was amazing (Cabot is an excellent chef). Both Cabot & Kim went out of their way to make our stay relaxed and enjoyable. The tipi was super comfortable...we slept like babies!

Any reviews older then May 2016 are out of date because the Rimrock Inn has new owners. I don't write reviews because i am terrible at it. That said i am going to at least try because the Rimrock Inn is a one of a kind place. The Inn itself is very very clean and is up to date. When you walk into the inn it feels like you are walking into a public brew house in Portland Oregon with a front desk and a play area for the kids. The inn is where you eat great food, sit on the deck to bird watch, and drink great local beers on tap. Outside, I think there are like 4 teepees and two retro RV campers for Glamping that overlook a beautiful canyon adjacent to the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest. My family of three stayed in the teepee one night and the very swank Chief Joseph Room within the inn the other night. Both experiences were exactly what we needed. Cabot and Kim are wonderful hosts and live at the inn. If you eat Cabot is preparing your food. Best pancake i have ever had in my 48 years of walking on this earth. He will show you his secret. Don't expect the normal boring amenities you might find in normal run of the mill places like TV's and free wifi. Actually i didn't realize they even had Wifi until we checked out and i was better off for it because i got away from work email for a few days. Hard for me to do. If you want to get away from it all, enjoy great vistas, and eat and drink in style this is your place.
