Chips were crumbs. Not crowded. Took an hour to get food. Kids meals are like food from freezer. Hardly seen our waitress. She tried to overcharge us. Beautiful day to sit on patio but I guess they were letting only a couple people out there? Don't plan on going back anytime soon.

The service and the top shelf margaritas where great! The food was good. This place could easily be 5 stars with very minor changes. All things considered I will be coming back.

First time dining here. Food was great and staff was really friendly. Great variety of food to choose from. Will definitely be coming back.

The service was excellent. They were short staffed so management was waiting tables and provided excellent service. Explains why they are managers. Food was fresh and well presented. This place is always spotless and has a nice pleasant atmosphere. I have never encountered a rude staff member. Sometimes the wait may be 15-30 minutes but they move the line quickly. Don Jose's will always be a go to for my wife and I as well as friends that come into town.

Very disappointed. A friend and I went there for the 1st time since the remodel and I’m utterly disappointed. To start with, the portion size was small. The chips and salsa was half of the portion size than before. The salsa was only half full of the small dip cup and chips were crumbly. We ordered a bowl of quest and we got a CUP. The menu has less options, prices are increased and the food was bland. We had to wait long periods of time for our waiter to check on us. Additionally, the dining area is smaller due to the patio which is fine but there was a group in there with us that was very loud, inconsiderate and disruptive. I couldn’t hear my friend talking right in front of me so I asked the waiter to ask them to lower their voices and he said he would. He never went to tell them so they continued. I got up and asked the manager to tell them and she agreed but never too address them and never did either. There were other patrons that left and looked annoyed over the disruption. If you have a small dining area and other people are bothered by loudness from other customers, it’s the restaurant’s responsibility to manage it. I’ll never go back there because the total experience was garbage. I’ll spend my money elsewhere. Remodeled but less quality.

Place looks great since the remodel. Food was amazing. Our waiter was an old navy submarine vet and very friendly. Loved talking with him and he even knew what sub my dad was on. I'll keep coming back and recommend to anyone.

The only thing that was worth going there for was the waiter. Our food was very bland. The shrimp wrapped in bacon was so dry. Their special sauce for the enchiladas was absolutely boring. Beans and rice weren't even worth eating. I make better Mexican food at home. They are way over priced as well. If I pay that much for food and Margaritas I expect it to be excellent. At the table next to us the waitress spilt a drink all over the lady sitting there. It took them too long to clean the floor. They were doing it with napkins! They should have gotten a mop and some towels. Ridiculous! We will not be going back.

My husband and I sat at the bar. The bartender was wonderful. But it took her about 15 minutes to get our order. She finally put it in and it took the kitchen about 45 minutes to an hour to cook our dinner. We didn't stay too easy our dinner, we put them in to go boxes and left
