Beijing Restaurant

Currently (12/9/2021-as a pandemic precaution) only take out is offered. I can be pretty picky with Chinese food. I've been to China and I don't want my Chinese food to be too Americanized. In my opinion this is the most authentic Chinese food that I've found in Idaho. Also, this is a family business and I just love the owners. They really take care of their customers.

No need to go to Boise for really good Chinese food. ( Hint: this is a Chinese restaurant, eat burgers elsewhere.) The prices are decent for the amount of food you get, and the people are very friendly. Also, bring cash if you want a discount. The only thing keeping it from getting five stars is the fact that sometimes the chicken is a little too tough. Doesn't happen often, but it does deserve at least 4 or 4 and a half stars instead of perfect five star rating.😀

My wife and I went here and it was the worst Chinese food we've ever had. The egg flower soup tasted like warm thick water, and comes in a chipped Campbell soup bowl. The pot stickers are obviously frozen and not cooked well. Everything was bland and over cooked. The lady who first took our order was fine, but the kid who brought the food out and have us our check looked like he was also walking. It was pretty clear he didn't want to be there and was being forced to. We took the food home because we felt bad for them, but threw it away as soon as we got home. It's not worth the money, time, or stomach ache, do not go here.

It seems like all they serve here are pork dishes. Don't get me wrong, I love pork, but if you want chicken you're basically limited to a somewhat average Mandarin chicken. Portions aren't the best. Price is reasonable. Service is good. Overall I wasn't super impressed but if Chinese Cafe is closed, go here I guess. It's your only other chinese food option anyway.
