Cell Block Steak House - Ely - Photo album

This was a fun experience. The steak dinners we had were very good. The servers were very busy but we still felt like we had good service.
This was the worst dining experience ever when stopping for dinner on our way to Vegas. 1.) Our drink orders were wrong 2.) It took 20 minutes to place our order. 3.) The appetizer stuffed mushrooms were all heat no flavor 4.) 2 tables who sat after us got their orders ahead of ours. 5.) After 40 mi
Excellent food, excellent place! I took my family of four here after arriving in Ely late at night. Despite it being friday night, we only had to wait 15 minutes. The jail cell theme is really neat. Those complaining about authenticity have obviously failed to read the back of the menu. Our waitress
I travel to Ely for work a few times a year. This is the first time I ate at the Cellblock. Had a great Ribeye! Cool place. Update: Sad to see they are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays during the winter :(
Ordered two 16 oz prime ribs rare. Waitress said they have rare. Received bread nice salad other than blue cheese dressing watered down. Received our dinners nice presentation. Prime Rib overcooked looked very very dry almost looked liked the edges were freezer burned. Cut into the meat grainy
So I had rids. They were tasty and cooked perfect. My date had shrimp scampi however and it was almost flavorless. The staff was good but the bad shrimp kind of wrecked the night.
Incredible steak dinner! The service was excellent. And the atmosphere is fun but elegant at the same time.
Terrible. 1min to be seated, 20 minutes until our drink orders were taken, and a half hour later we had to flag down another staff member to get the drinks. Canned asparagus as a garnish on a Denny's grade steak. To top it off the server ran the card for $68 on our $53 bill.
