Review Skid's Restaurant - Elon

Such a great Mom & Pop type of diner! The staff is beyond friendly. They treat you like family and the food is absolutely delicious!!! If you've never been this is a must TRY!

Great food and terrific friendly staff! Highly recommend. Tell them the Man in green sent you.

Our meal at the restaurant was quite lovely. The hash browns are fresh as well as a toast and eggs tasted really good. The waitress was quite attentive and always checked back to see if we needed coffee. The restaurant wasn't too crowded even though the local College of Southern graduation. The setting is very clean and well oriented and I definitely recommend stopping in for at least breakfast!

Was very good. Actually the best Skid's out of the 3 of them. This one in Elon is extremely clean and extremely nice looking inside and out. Building use to be a old "Hardee's" and they cleaned it up, repainted inside and out, plus made a simple out door patio type dinning area outside. Inside looks fantastic and much more inviting. Waitress with blond hair is excellent, younger waitress with dark hair mumbles and is hard to understand. I always get the twin cheeseburger basket with fries and a ice tea. Food had always been great.

Service was great, food was not. Stay away from the ribeye. Shoe leather is thicker.

Clean, good service and food, reasonably priced. This is my favorite place for a club sandwich. They also have a decent Reuben. You can get a plate lunch here. Breakfast is served until 10:30 weekdays and all day Saturday. I've not been disappointed with anything I have had here. Now that warmer weather is here, I want to try their pineapple shake.

We had hamburger steak which was very good and the sweet tea was marvelous

The food here was just okay. The overall experience ranks with the worst of all dining out experiences. My siblings and I met in Elon for a mini reunion and lunch with our nephew. As the last customers of the day (2:30 pm) the waitress said there was no rush. We left and decided before leaving town to take a family photo across the street on the “green”. When we returned 20 minutes later, one of our cars had been towed and we had to pay $250 to get it back. Skids owner has an agreement with the tow service and did not offer to help us out. I highly recommend going somewhere patrons are treated fairly and with respect.

Food was ok but place is always packed at lunch time.
