I enjoy the food at Rainbow, I miss the old location, which was across the street. My wife and I would go there late at night and it was always busy. The dining room was clean, and we enjoyed catching up with old friends. Parking was available in the parking garage right behind the location.

Fast service with zero wait time to be seated. Had the chicken and waffles with coffee and it was fantastic. I’ll be back.

Rainbow Cafe is a favorite spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner in downtown Elmhurst. It is conveniently located right next to a parking lot. The Cafe has outdoor cafe table as well as indoor diner type tables. Inside has a diner type feel as well as the menu selections. The food is generous and the prices are good. The service is fast and good and our coffee was always kept full. The menu has some up-to-date iron skillet type dishes - I tried the vegetable one and it was really good with lots of cheese in it. Have returned quite a few times. This summer the side little area next to the cafe tables had an art exhibit called Umbrella Sky which lit up the area with bright colors and interest. See photos. Exhibit ended in October.

Great place to get breakfast and lunch.
■Parking in Elmhurst is all over, either parking decks or 3 to 4 hours spots.
■Great food, overpriced to a degree, but it's still great food.
■85% of the staff are excellent and pleasant to speak with.
■Style of the interior is themed to the season, usually, and is nice to look at.
■Cramped inside, so if you have strollers or are handicapped please be aware.
■They have plenty of tables outside with umbrellas.

We Absolutely loved this place! Not only do they serve Papa Nicholas coffee, their food is delicious and they we next to a beautiful exhibit of umbrellas, making it all look so darling. Our waitress was so kind, the person that was with us had some mobility issues and she was treated with compassion and respect. Will definitely keep coming back!

The place boasts lovely decor, delicious food (I tried the latte, which was delightful), and a very friendly owner. It's conveniently situated in the heart of Elmhurst, with ample free parking right at the building.

Had the Nashville skillet and was blown by the flavor. I would recommend this dish. The staff was very welcoming as well coming on vacation from Florida. It was a great experience.

The customer service here is AMAZING!! The staff and servers are all so genuine, kind, and friendly!! Felt so comfortable here. The place is clean and big, and there's nice outdoor seating as well.
We got brunch here, ordered some eggs that came with pancakes. The brunch was like any other American breakfast place. My skillet was good and tasty, however, unfortunately my sister found some egg shells in her.. we told the server, and they took it off the bill and apologized, and asked if we wanted anything else. I know it sounds like a bad experience, but honestly, the vibes and customer service make up for it, plus the food was made by humans, so sometimes mistakes happen, and it's okay.. I would also come here again and do recommend them.

The Rainbow Cafe has the nicest waitstaff around! The dining area is clean, tastefully decorated, appropriately lit and clean!
Menu has plenty of options. Outside dining is available surrounded by beautiful flowering plants. And the bathrooms are CLEAN!

Found this nice friendly, inviting place online while searching for places that had crêpes after 6p.m.and my father me and my family went. It was excellent. The crêpes were the best I've had at any restaurant in the area and I'm not from here. Been in the area since 2010 and been to many places. Never have I ever had more of a true French crêpe to remind me of my late grandma wonderful french food. All other dishes were delightful as well. The service was spectacular and we just a really nice relaxing time. We definitely will be going back. Thanks to those who own the cafe and the servers. Y'all are AMAZING. Bless y'all.
