Taste Good Malaysian Cuisine - Elmhurst - Photo album

It does taste good 🤤 I’m writing this review when traveling in Turkiye and missing great Asian food in NYC. I was introduced to this by a Malaysian friend and It was my first time trying Malaysian food so I don’t have anything to compare with but I am a foodie and I know when the food is good. Ever
The lamb rendang was fatty and boney, but the beef rendang was amazing. 10/10. I got alot of food and the bill was very cheap. Everything is shareable portions. I highly recommend people to come and try everything on the menu. The lychee juice was surprisingly amazing as well. The roti canai was the
My fav malaysian restaurant of all time! Love ordering the Sizzling Pan Sting Ray Butter Jumbo shrimp (not in picture but sooo good) Fish head noodle and the tofu appetizer is really good for none shareable option! Kangkung belacan could be a lil more spicy 🌶️ but still good 😍 Bring CASH!
Their menu has so many options to choose from, it's a little overwhelming lol. Food is really good overall, and affordable as well. I really like the Singaporean laksa: the tapioca noodles (similar to bĂĄnh canh), the broth with coconut milk. The pork chop, kang kung belacan, and the soup are pretty
This little gem really brings me back to Malaysia vibe. I highly recommend the “ fantastic fours” it integrates bean, eggplant, okra (forget the last one lol) with very rich and tasty sauce!!!!!
Everything on the menu here is SO tasty. The "spicy" dishes aren't actually that spicy - you can taste the spice, but it's part of the flavors of the dish, not just spicy for the sake of being spicy. Pretty decent portion sizes as well. Pictures on the wall are very helpful when looking at the menu
Hands down the best Malaysian food in New York City! I grew up in Malaysia and am pretty familiar with the flavors. Found taste good during covid lockdown, ordered a couple of times for takeout, and loved quite a number of their dishes. Finally got a chance to dine in, ordered Seafood Wat Tan Hor (s
My family has been coming to Taste Good for years and years now and time and time again they deliver on the food. The restaurant certainly has “hole in the wall” vibes but that is simply an indicator of how delicious the food tastes. My favorites are the roti and sate skewers! Highly highly recommen
Outstanding food and great service! Prices also very reasonable. I recommend the clams with golden aromatic flavor and house tofu dishes. Also try the fish head soup or assam laksa and any vegetable with belacan.
It’s one of the best Malaysian food here in NYC. Probably the most authentic as per my Malaysian partner. This place started getting crowded as articles started disseminating how great this place is. Now wait time can be longer and because this is a tiny restaurant, it feels a little cramped. Food i
Delicious extremely flavorful. Some whole like to eat light might not echoey all the spices they add. Otherwise very authentic Malaysian cuisine at fair price. Place gets busy so order in advance!
I haven’t been there in years since the pandemic started and today was a first time back and happy to say everything remain unchanged. Looks can be deceiving, outside not much of a store front however this mom and pop shop has been a Elmhurst mainstay for many years. The cooking is absolutely authe
This place was a real treat. I came here at the request that we go here from my friend from Singapore. He said it was a real taste of home for him. Nice outdoor seating arrangement with friendly staff. First off, and most importantly for me, was the roti cani. It was really good. It could have been
The place is quite cramped, but decent service. No AC so if it’s hot outside, it gets really hot inside. Food is pretty good although I prefer the lighter softer type of roti that they serve for the appetizer. The stir fry guo tiu and other noodles were fantastic. The hainan chicken was not so great
Pretty good Malaysian food! Highly recommend getting the beef satay
Good Malaysian food , their chicken is probably the best seller. Been consistent taste for the last 10+ years that I've been going.
Nice place! I got the chicken and pork satay skewers, which come with a good peanut sauce. They also serve you free tea. I hope to return to try other dishes. Note: cash-only
A small restaurant with delicious food. Lots of different choices. Staffs were friendly. A must try: Sizzling Bean Curb/Tofu, 1/2 Hainan Chicken and Kangkung Belacan (Veg on picture).
Order the Roti Canai first, its good for appetizer. Its kinda small but I think it still good for sharing for 2 people. And we also ordered the #157, its the fried coconut rice with shrimp and chicken, it was good. Its tasty, i like it! And for the main dish, we ordered the sizzling black pepper bee
