Our friends took us here for lunch. They eat there often, which was obvious, as the owners greeted them as old friends abd took great care of us. We all had the JuicyQ, which was delicious! This is a place we will go back to soon.
I have been to Silver Spur the last 2 Fridays in a row to enjoy their Fish Fry. We used to eat here semi-regularly until we found another highly satisfactory Beer Battered Cod closer to home. Decided to stop in the afternoon with my Aunt from Chicago on our way to watch a baseball game and we were not disappointed. We sat at the bar and got great service. Food was fast, hot and delicious. I got fried, she got baked both with potato pancakes cooked to perfection! I was actually holding my crispy cake in my hand and dipping it in the cup of applesauce. No fork needed. Drinks were very affordable. I returned again with my father and sat on the patio. We were there later in the day and were able to get the mouth watering fresh baked bread. Service was pleasant and attentive. I again ordered fried cod and relinquished one of my 3 pieces to Dad, as he ordered baked and I wanted him to be able to try both. We both were pleased, although this time the pancakes needed a fork and weren't quite as crisp. Still, well prepared and incredibly tasty. I've had their BBQ before, but I'm not a big consumer of BBQ so it's nothing I seek or typically order. Being a novice consumer, I found it to be darn good and like everything was served "sauce yourself".
The food was the bomb! This platter was only $13 and I got free bread just cuz I asked for it our waitress was amazing super friendly lots of smiles my wife drink about 13 Cokes, and they didn't bat an eye lash not once. The place was clean as well as the rest rooms. Next time we're going for drinks & ill post again. But well worth the money. And the prices are very conservative! Also I would like to add that the tables were wooden very sturdy and the armless chairs were made of wood with a very nice cushion bottom very comfortable. Overall it was very pleasant and friendly and we will definitely be going back. Steven (Taco) Guerrero.
Love the food here! Never had a bad meal here yet. Love the burnt tips!
The nachos are amazing and huge. Our favorite dish is the chicken fried chicken...we share an order every time we go here.
Great wings on Wednesdays for 75 cents a piece, smoked then flash fried for crispness giving them a very unique and delicious flavor and texture. They have a choice of 4 sauces including Buffalo.
Service was very good, decor matches the age of the historic building the restaurant is in and it is located in a beautiful quaint location. Plenty of parking on street or lot behind the restaurant. Separate bar area. Overall, the experience was a good one and I will return and invite friends and or family.
My family and I had dinner here for my son's and my birthday. The food was excellent, but the desserts were even better. If you like made-from-scratch carrot cake, then this is the place to go.
