Ice cream is worth the price and get a lot for the $$ as they use local homemade ice cream from Gillards!

With that being said, what is with the reviews that state the ice cream is pricey or expensive? The portions are enormous, the price is reasonable, plus if you don't like it just go to the grocery store and grab a gallon for subpar. This is a local small business, not a nationwide chain...
The girls behind the counter tonight were super efficient and friendly. We came here on a recommendation after visiting Acadia and so glad we did. If you are into seasonal flavors, please try the Maine Black Bear. It's black raspberry with loads of mint raspberry chocolate chips in every bite.

Countertop at the service window was filthy and so was what I could see inside. Sloppy mess everywhere. Kid prices are great and sized generously. They wouldn’t let me try a sample of ice cream to see if I’d like the flavor before ordering. I couldn’t decide between blueberry and strawberry cheesecake and was hoping the sample would help me decide. That was a BIG negative for me since I have a dairy allergy and if I’m going to eat ice cream I wanna know it’s worth it. My husband ordered a “Nor Eastern” she didn’t ask what size, we didn’t know until afterwards that it came in a small or large. Of course she assumed a large. It was way too big, and of course more $$$. Staff was done for the day so customer service was OK nothing over the top. Not letting a customer try a flavor is absurd but that’s probably management not the girls working the counter so I can’t blame them. Everyone enjoyed their choices…

Stopped in the other night. Friendly staff. Delicious ice cream. It's worth the stop in or out of town. (I had them put the order in cups to travel home). They offer Giffords Ice Cream made in Maine.

Yum! We had the blueberries and cream flavor ice cream - it was delish! The small size was plenty big enough for dessert.

They serve Hood soft serve ice cream and Gifford's hard. A small cone is about six inches tall, so waaaay bigger than the average "small." Nothing spectacular, but they were quick and nice. There is a covered outdoor seating area and a few tables inside.

We stopped here after a long day of hiking in Acadia and the ice cream absolutely hit the spot! They had a wide variety of flavors in both soft and hard serve and we wish we could have tried more of them! I definitely recommend it here!

A traditional, simple, and good side-of-the-road ice cream stop. They have about 4 soft-serve flavors and about a dozen "hard-scoop" flavors. The waffle cones are fresh and tasty, banana splits, brownie bowls, and shakes if that is your thing. There is a small grassy area if you want to enjoy it there, but seating is limited (most likely due to COVID)
