Union River Lobster Pot - Ellsworth - Photo album

We loved it here! Had about a half hour wait, but it’s so close to town we just did a little walk then sat and looked at the river. The traditional lobster roll was fantastic and the poutine was fun to try, but probably wouldn’t do it again (can’t compare to a lobster dinner or roll). The blueberry
Visiting from out of town and this stop was a must based on the reviews. We arrived before the restaurant opened and had a friendly conversation in the parking lot with who we later realized was the owner. Best lobster roll we had on our visit in the area with friendly and fast service. My wife had
Pictures: 1.25lb lobster dinner, fried lobster roll, cheese curds, blueberry pie. (Also got a clam chowder). (Went back a second time): Traditional lobster roll and lobster poutine. Strawberry pie. Food was great and noticeably better than a lot of venues closer to/on the island. Pricing was as an
Lobster Pot was an unintended and fantastic choice for us. We were traveling and ended up eating later than expected. Thankfully, this amazing place was open and happy to serve. The food was great, staff and owner were amazingly friendly, and hubby got lobster. 😁 We would definitely go again. Yay fo
We arrived when they opened. It was a rainy day, so we ate indoors. We like to eat early because (in many restaurants) we find it easier to have a conversation before the establishment is full. In this case, dining room was spacious, with high ceilings and plenty of seating. By the time we left
Had lobster mac n chz, delicious. The Parmesan crisp that came with it paired very well and was yummy. Side salad very fresh and delicious, especially the lemon balsamic dressing. Carrots good too. Wife had crab cakes and really liked them. Her sides, cole slaw and mashed potatoes were very good as
Okay I haven't had a whole lobster in several years so finally got one today when I was up in Maine. I'll have to say I trusted the other Google reviews and they didn't disappoint. This place is excellent and has plenty of indoor seating but would recommend sitting outside or at least on the patio t
This place is really awesome! We had to wait 30 minutes before the table was ready, but they have an outdoor, river front backyard with tiki bar were we could hang out while waiting. Food was very good! You can see the place were they boil the lobsters from the parking lot. Totally a 5 star rating!
I had a lobster steam pot. The steamers are clams, not seaweed. The lobster pot comes with a potato and an ear of corn in the pot. Everything was great. I can't wait to come back for more. Parking was a little tight and we had to use the overflow parking lot behind the restaurant and down the hil
Got the 2 1/4 lb lobster with the $12 add on for the clam chowder and clams/mussels. We also got the baked stuffed haddock with the mashed potatoes and rice pilaf. My favorite was the baked stuffed haddock. The sauce that they cover the dish compliments everything on the plate perfectly, and there w
Living in the area for nearly 10 years, The Lobster Pot was one of the places I kept putting on my list to try, but being seasonal and almost always busy, it wasn't in the cards in prior years. Great attempt/patience is needed. However, late-ish night in September (with great conscious forethought)
We had so much fun at this restaurant. Even with the wait time, we enjoyed walking by the river, the live music and drinks on the lawn. The food was amazing and our waitress, Stacey, was so kind…even helping show this novice how to eat a lobster the proper way. So, so good in every way!!
Based on a chance encounter with a fellow Tennesseean on a Maine backroad, we made our way to Union River lobster pot. What a fantastic experience! They are only open from 5 PM until 830 each night and there was still a line when we showed up at 8 PM. However, Kim at the hostess desk was fantastic,
My GF and I were visiting Acadia and came here for dinner on our first night, absolutely amazing service. We came in right before close and they didn’t rush us or anything! The chef even came out to talk to us during the meal and he was so nice and friendly. I got the Lobster Mac and Cheese and my G
Shared 1.25 lb lobster pot and fried clam dinner with cole slaw and fries. Pot comes with potato, steamers, whole lobster and sweet corn. Food was perfect, atmosphere relaxed and clambake casual. They have an outside bar for waiting patrons with benches and chairs next to a gorgeous river. GET A RES
We travel to Bar Harbor several times a year from Florida. We "always" stop and have a wonderful meal at Union River Lobster Pot. Yes. We order lobster calculating what size lobster we want as we admire the huge tanks with lobster displayed out front. We went on a Friday night at 7PM and there was n
The absolute MVP of the night was the guy outside boiling lobster. While we were waiting for our table we sat in the chairs that are right outside the door while you wait and it was an awesome experience. The guy put on an absolute show for us and showed us the difference in sizes and characteristic
