Fun spot with good beer selection and fun staff. They played great music. This is a great pub to kick back at. The local beers they had were very good.
The food was pretty good but their Reuben was a bit disappointing. However, the appetizers were fabulous. Love the corn dip, the fish dip, and the fried green tomatoes.

My family of 5 enjoyed our outing and food with the exception of seeing dog fur blow in the wind. We were seated outside. We are dog owners and understand, but just seeing it blow in the wind was unsettling. Other than that, great atmosphere and good food. Our youngest didn't like the steak so he traded for dad's sandwich.

Great little bar and grill. We sat at the bar to keep from waiting too long. The tavern burger was delicious and the beer was cold. The bartender was great as we watched her make drinks for others. She explained to us what she was making so we tried a pineapple jalapeno margarita. It was really good. Bathrooms were clean and so was the rest of the busy place.

We are non locals but stumbled across this place since they were the only place with the least waiting time . So glad we did! Our waitress Mikayla was absolutely the best ! She made us feel so welcomed. Nowadays with staff being limited it’s so important to tip well and support small businesses. Food was great and hearty . We had fried greeem tomatoes and chicken sandwiches. Washed it down with a extra dirty martini. Awesome local place!

We stopped here on the recommendation of of local. Our server Gary made it seem like even though they were busy he didn't have enough tables to wait. We had burgers which disappeared very easily. Everything was very fresh and satisfying. They had an above average beer selection. Atmosphere was very nice and we had a good time.

It was our first time here and we had Joseph as our bartender. He was great he made us some drinks we have never tried before and he made sure to understand our preferences and what we like. 11/10
We hope to see him again here when we come back. He really brought the river street tavern experience!

First of all, the wait was worth it! Especially with the convenience of leaving a number to be able to walk around this adorable town until you receive a call that your table or bar seats are ready. We started with the Mexican street corn appetizer. So delicious! We ordered a cheeseburger and fries which were very good. We also ordered the Mahi Reuben and potato salad. The best restaurant potato salad we have ever had! and this Reuben, was delicious! Service was superb including the welcoming hostess. We are ready to go back again soon!

First time in downtown Ellijay! Wanted some burgers and came across River Street Tavern. We sat on the patio and were greeted shortly after by our server Faith. She was super kind and answered all the questions I had. We had fried pickles and ranch to start. I ordered the wonton burger. The pickled onion and carrot with the teriyaki and yum yum sauce was a perfect combination. I love spicy food, so I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich with pepper jack cheese and jalapenos. This was the only picture I took. This sandwich came out perfectly. It was huge, juicy, and didn't skimp on the jalapenos. Tossed in the hot sauce and paired with a side of ranch. This place is worth the 45 min drive. We will be back soon. Thank you!!

If you love places with a divey vibe then the Tavern is the right place for you! We went here for lunch and it did not disappoint! We had the Mexican corn dip which was good and split the Tavern burger! The burger was SO DELICIOUS and the fries were excellent as well! The beer was cold and the service was good! Will absolutely be back to River Street Tavern in the future!

Stopped after walking around town one hot evening to have a couple of beers. It sits right next to the street and they have a few outdoor tables. The staff was very nice and attentive. Ordered beer which was nice and cold and got chips with cheese and salsa. I have had the wings here too on a previous occasion which were also very good. I would definitely return.

Great flavors and great service! The River Street Tavern is a fantastic spot right in the heart of downtown Ellijay. They’ve got a nice variety of craft beers, and a very nice selection on their menu!
I finally decided on the chipotle black bean burger, but had a tough time deciding tonight. Everything looked really good, but I wasn’t disappointed. The wings and mozzarella sticks were also delicious, and house salad was fresh and tasty.

First place I’ve been to that had pork rinds for an appetizer and they were awesome. I had the tavern burger w/ fries for my main and it was honestly one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Fries were really good too. My husband loved his mango habanero wings, said it was the perfect level of spice. Service was quick and the staff was super friendly! Awesome place all around.

Really saved us in a pinch for eating lunch! They weren't going to take anyone else but decided to take us last minute. We had just driven from Amicalola Falls to there to get food.
So good that we decided to wat here again when we were in the area! Love the food and the atmosphere!

We got the trout dip, some different burgers, and a grilled chicken pesto panini. It was all very good! I’ve eaten here twice about 2 years apart and it’s been the same great food both times.

Great little spot to come in and have a drink with friends or grab a bite to eat. The restaurant does not accept large parties which is a plus. We went with a group of 6. The Fried Green Tomatoes were great. The Potato Salad was seriously the BEST I HAVE EVER EATEN (Seriously)! I would also recommend the Mahi Ruben sandwich. It was perfect. Drank a Abita Root Beer, which had great flavor. The tavern also has a full bar. There will likely be a wait when you go, but it is so worth it. Enjoy.

We have eaten here several times. It is always great. The servers are friendly! Never takes long to get our food. It is usually more than you can eat! I got the club - couldn't even get it in my mouth - sandwich was so big & very good.
