Pro tip: $.75 Bud and Bud Light all day Monday. Lots of greasy goodness at Rippers Roadstand but if you’re considering this place, you probably know that. Burgers are delicious and the kraut fries are excellent.

Haven't tried this place before and went in under the sign that read "Jalepenos Mexican Grill" only to realize that it was still kind of Rippers, but also kind of Mexican grill in a weird hybrid style way. Ok, that's fine. But as we walked in, there was no music and half the lights of the restaurant were off making for a super awkward atmosphere. We walked up to order at the Mexican grill side where they had a Chipolte style set up and were greeted by the most unenthusiastic person I've ever seen. Now let me say I have pretty low standards for how I'm greeted and treated at restaurants. I worked in the industry for years, I know how monotonous it can get, but holy cow, this person seemed like she was moving through molasses everywhere she went. She took so long to put her plastic gloves on, me and my family considered leaving before even ordering. So we ordered and realized we probably did something wrong by coming here because there were three other tables, all without their food, waiting for their food to be done as well. There were only two staff members in the kitchen and while one moved a bit faster than the other, you would have thought there was some weird time-slowing vortex when you walked in. It was borderline creepy. The person making our food put my wife's burrito on the press while we paid for our food and after paying I remained there waiting for it and after a couple minutes she looks at me and asks, "Did I forget something?" To top it all off, the paper they assembled my burrito bowl on tore apart about 3 minutes into eating it so that pieces of paper were all in my food. How hard is it to properly assemble rice, beans, and meat? We didn't ask for our money back but my wife went inside and showed them and was replied to with a, "K". This was our first and last time to this strange, awkward, establishment. Hopefully other patrons had a better time than we did. On the plus side, the interior was kinda cool - true to the road-stop style decor. The burgers which were being made didn't look half bad. Maybe with some more help and proper serving plates this review wouldn't exist.

Great burgers, made the way you like. The hot dogs are deep fried like Rutts Hutt in NJ. Just off I75.

An amazing cute place, came in with a friend super hungry! (We just came from a carnival) in the need for a delicious burger and my hunger was completely satisfied, more than satisfied it was completely surpassed. Just came just to and so glad I did . Definitely recommending this to anyone and everyone. Not only was the food amazing but the service was nice and helpful with my decision making. For sure everyone need to try this place .

I've just had the best hamburger and fries I've had in a long time, maybe ever. If I could, I'd go back tomorrow for more. My husband had been telling me about Ripper's and took me to see for myself how good the food is. We each had a burger and shared an order of fries...real potatoes not gimicky frozen fries off a truck. (I recommend sharing the fries because one order is huge.) The very nice owner asked us about our meal after we ate, and explained some changes that have very recently been taking place. The previous owners took the Ripper hot dogs off the menu and changed it to a Mexican restaurant. It didn't do very well. Now, the new owner has taken the Mexican food out and put the Ripper's hot dogs back on the menu. A new sign saying "Ripper's" will be going up soon outside. (There is still a Mexican restaurant sign up now). She will be adding beer service as well. The restaurant is clean, modern and comfortable, and very nicely decorated with wood and galvanized metal. I noticed one reviewer complained about no music or liveliness. My husband and I are both so tired of loud restaurants where you can't relax and enjoy a nice conversation...so we liked the pleasant atmosphere. I really hope they do well, and that the previous situation has not turned people off to trying them again. The food is excellent, the service was good, the prices very reasonable...and I will be telling all of my friends about Ripper's!

This WAS a cute fun place to eat. Now it's dirty, half the lights are out and the food was poor. Workers are doing a terrible job. My burger was left off the order fo it was late. Not worth waiting for. Tiny squirt of mustard in the middle of the onion with a heel piece of iceberg lettuce keeping it from touching either bun. Pickle was sadly a sweet one and finished ruining this unremarkable burger. And the place was filthy. Windows doors floors everything. They must be closing soon

Was better when it was actually rippers. Customer service is terrible and they gave me god awful fries. I came back 5 minutes later to return before I said anything she asked if I just want my money back. Why even serve something that doesn't even look edible? I asked for a replacement and while these fries were better on color the inside is frozen. Such a shame used to be the best little place to get burgers and fries.

Terrible atmosphere. Came here and there was no music or life whatsoever. The people who were taking orders and making food acted like they hated being there and we were an inconvenience being there. I would imagine this would be the face someone would make as a prison server. Food tasted like it was way over processed and not tasty at all. It may be from prison as well. Cheese tasted like warmed up american cheese slices that they forgot to take the plastic off. Chicken is from a can. The cheese on the fries was just terrible and the fries had no salt and fried in oil that was old. We will not return and can tell you everything was horrible from the sauces to the food and the drink. The ice machine was broken and all the drink dispensers were leaking. The girl at the register was like "yeah, its fine". We nearly walked out but stayed to try out the food but that was a disappointment as well. This place needs a complete redo of staff, menu, and food. We will never return or encourage anyone to eat here. Go to Wendy's around the corner, it will be better than hateful staff and terrible food.
