Smoke On The Water Bbq

Here is a real gem of a restarant. The owners are usually on hand. They create some very tasty and not typical dishes. We called 3 weeks in advance to get a Ramp egg roll appetizer. If you are from WV then you know that this is vintage WV. They placed 2 Ramp egg roll dishes aside for me. They were so worth the wait. John and Diane(owners) took the time with many of their patrons, you truly felt like family. You can sit out on the porch (even with your dog) enjoy a small stream nearby. Now here are the must eats. You definitely should have the beans. I am not crazy here, I cook beans at home at least once a week. I cook all kinds, but the one offered at Smoke on the Water are the best I've had. It appears to have mixture of 4 or 5 different type of beans in a semi sweet mixture. The hush puppies were very good as well. My wife enjoyed the pecan crusted trout cheese ball. We had the Beef brisket and Pork ribs. Save room for dessert! You must try the peanut butter chocolate pie. We visited twice and had to get it each time. I would recommend stopping to Smoke on the Water just for that piece of pie. Now if you are looking for one of friendliest and creative places, this a MUST!! Listen to your servers the weekly specials sell out quickly. We missed out of catfish bites. Check the website and call ahead you will not be disappointed.

This place has awesome food! Everything was so fresh. I don't normally do reviews unless I feel compelled to do so. My husband and I said we need to let the public know, This is place is good.... Really good. Inside the restaurant is clean and has a lodge feel to it. Unique drinks and food selection. Our server was on it!!! Thanks Smoke On The Water keep it up.

I love this place!! Drop Dead Trout Spread is my absolute favorite!! Super Delicious Bloody Marys! Nice beer selection. The atmosphere and the people are great!! Strike up a conversation with a random person and you have a best friend for life! Comfortable, easy, and the deck is awesome. Oh, and dogs...there are dogs on the deck. Love!!

i am enthralled, captivated, enchanted, and bewitched by this restaurant. let me tell you why, and here’s a hint—it’s not because of the what you think. sure, the staff are divine the atmosphere is full of electricity, and the meals were superb. but there is one thing that made my experience at this restaurant utterly hypnotic. two words: river sauce. this sauce is other wordly. upon tasting it for the first time my heart just about skipped a beat at the mesmerizing flavor. i used what little self control i had left to stop my hearts greatest desire—to drink the whole bottle at once. upon realizing this restaurant was a stop on an all-too-long trip, i became anguished. this sauce may never cross my lips again. i almost shed a bittersweet tear. the taste of this tangy delight is a kiss from a love i knew i could never savor again. even as i am laying in my hotel room, my mind is riddled with the memory of this ecstasy. until next time. may the one who created river sauce be rewarded in kindness one thousand times over. i wish nothing but prosperity to you.

Ribs were excellent, brisket sandwich was big and tasty. The wings, on the other hand, looked like they were boiled in water. No crispness, no char, no smokey flavor. The Mac and cheese was disappointing, having very little flavor, was runny,and just not good It was close to Velveeta Mac and cheese. Our server was nice, and attentive. The outdoor patio is nice.

Came on a Sunday the place was beautiful but we waited 45 minutes for our food. It was ice cold when we got it and I told the server but nothing happened. We waited 15 minutes after we finished eating it and still didn’t get our bill gave up and walked up to the front desk where we still got ignored for a good 8 more minutes finally I told the 3 people standing there that we have a 3 1/2 hour drive home and need our bill NOW they just looked confused till our server walked by I asked her for the bill. It seemed like a bunch of confused young staff that didn’t care about the customers.
