Mckinley Tavern

If you’re looking for a chilled bar to have a few drinks McKinley Tavern is the place. Jack, the bartender, was very friendly. They also have a jukebox with a great selection of music. Not forgetting their selection of food; my sister enjoyed the wings but my favorites were the egg rolls and old bay fries.

Came in on St Patty's day woth a few friends to get a "green" drink. Love Love Love the DJ..He played music from different genres which was refreshing! My 1st "green margarita" I ordered with barmaid one and she mentioned it was made with house liquor at $5 a pop. I declined and told her I'd go with the 1800 and she said it was $13 since it is a more expensive liquor. No problem gave her my credit card to keep on file and enjoyed my drink. I was soon ready for a 2nd drink and decided to go with the $5 house liquor to save a few dollars. Come to find out once I saw the drink menu it was actually $7. Barmaid one stated she is the MANAGER so how do you not know the prices? Barmaid one ended up not making drinks anymore...so I went to barmaid two for the second one and told her I wanted a green margarita. I did not mention the 1800 since she did not make the 1st one- she knew nothing about it. I saw her pour Margaritaville which was fine with me since I was going cheaper. Enjoyed my 2nd drink. When I go back for a 3rd drink I went to barmaid two as well-but this time I saw her use Jose Cuervo. A little confused so I said let me grab this drink and go ahead and cash out. I get my total and it said $39... something did not add up right because they charged me $13 for all 3 drinks. When I mentioned it barmaid two tried to say she saw what liquor I had the 1st time in the register so rang it up as such. Which was false because she never went to the register 1st and you also poured me MARGARITAVILLE. So how sway? Smh! You never know who is actually paying attention not to mention I used to barmaid so I am familiar with what is behind a bar. All in all they ended up rectifying the situation by zeroing out the entire bill. Which was nice but I had no problem paying..I just wanted to pay WHAT I OWED. Great environment besides the issue with the bill. Never even got to order food but the plates that were coming out looked amazing 👏🏾
