Southern comfort food in our very own city of Elk Grove. Stop by for a bite and remember they close early in the afternoon so don’t take too long to get there. Home cooked pies and fried goodies for both vegetarians and carnivores. You can’t go wrong. Friendly service from both workers, and owner. Thank you.

Delicious food. Worth the wait. Try the Jambalaya w/Cornbread. You won't be disappointed. Second option -
Catfish w/Shrimp is flavored just right.

Finally got to try this place and I have to say I'm impressed with the flavor and the quaint atmosphere. It's not big and noisy like Huckleberry's. Sat in a booth, very comfortable and their patrons were very friendly. Most were retirees on Tuesday lunch hour.
Tried BTA (bacon, tomato, avocado) omelette that comes with a few side options. I picked biscuit and gravy and roasted potatoes. Oh my, the biscuit and gravy was spot on in terms of flavor. It was soft, creamy and the gravy had bits of magic. I could have eaten another serving of this and be done. Lol, the omelette was light and fluffy. The roasted potatoes were extra crispy but soft inside. Will definitely be coming back to try other dishes.
Service is slower so if you're in a hurry, I'd recommend order-to-go but if you have the time, sit back and savor the flavor while catching up with a friend or two here.

Went on a Sunday morning and was seated almost immediately. I got the Country Fried Steak with cheesy grits, scrambled eggs, and biscuits and gravy. The food was simple but absolutely delicious 🤤 The servers were really nice too. Definitely coming back!

So glad they made it through the pandemic. Their spicy chicken and waffles are my go-to. All their food is tasty. Good size servings, usually have enough to take home for another meal or can share. Sadly they didn't have mimosas

My first time at the Elk Grove/Laguna location. The Laguna location seats you and takes your order at the table instead of ordering at the counter, and there is more parking. Same great food. I had the catfish this time, yum. I've also had the waffles and wings at the original location on El Camino and biz 80. Good service too. Update, this is now one of my regular breakfast stops. Had the fried pork chops and eggs today. Yum.

Food was really good and the service was excellent! The jambalaya was flavorful, spicy, and filling. The omelet was like it was homemade! Great job
