FANTASTIC food! Always busy with local customers, that alone says alot! Even in the busiest time, short wait for a table. Kind and courteous staff! I go there alone, I'm treated very well as any other customers! I've seen big family groups and me only one.. very service, regardless how many in the group, one or 10. All customers are well seen after by serving staff! I was a restaurant manager for 9 years! I know good service and attention to each and every customer! They are tops!! All customers equally valuable!

As soon as i walked in the door, I noticed how clean everything looked. The staff at the door were not rude, but not really friendly, either. There was a large variety of food, but most of it looked better than it tasted. I'd recommend the Beijing beef, or the orange chicken. There are also non-chinese options like pizza and fries.

At the Elgin Buffet Family and Friend can expect a spread in my opinion a great selection of seafood, when your dine inside. If you have a large party, not to worry as there is plenty of seating inside the dining area . You'll find that it is noisy, but not rowdy. After dinner you may want to stay a little bit to try your luck on some video gaming machines they have located to the east of the restaurant. Currently there are a total of 7 machines available to customers. Not only do they have machines but they also have a little ice cream shop over the summer with a fantastic Duo who decorates ice cream... It brings out the child in every adult and keeps the child in every little boy and girl. Go check it out with family or just friends. Even by yourself wouldn't be so bad. I promise it'll be worth it!

Online says their prices change @3pm for dinner. I arrived at 230pm and they charged me 15.99 dinner price! I ate my 3 plates and was out of there b4 3pm!. They didn't care and said I was charged 15.99 cause it was close to dinner! Mind you this was a monday, not a weekend.

Cross contamination! chicken taste like shrimp. Never stocked up with food. Most foods are cold. Fried rice taste like they never cleaned the pan. Dragon buffet a lot better than this place!

Bad place to eat Chinese food, pricey and bad food and service from all staff, many trays were empty and never refilled again (Sunday around 6pm) they only keep the cheap stuff in the trays. The hibachi bar is gross and the personal who attend has bad actitud and I forgot to mention the Loud Spanish music playing all the time, (corridos) think twice if you want to come at this place.
