Rock-solid diner breakfast. Generous portions, well-priced, tasty, served with a smile. It's a big room with plenty of space between tables and nobody's rushing you out--perfect for weekend breakfast if you don't feel like cooking. And excellent coffee.

Our first time eating here, but not our last. I had the fried chicken, which was, let me tell you, better than KFC and Chik-fil-a. Will definitely be going back.

Always a great breakfast. Service could be slightly better but nothing terribly bad. I hope to God they stay open. I always enjoy coming here for breakfast. When I was a little boy I used to eat breakfast sometimes in a small diner like this one before school in the morning. It reminds me of that time.

Stopped in this morning for breakfast with my dad & son, place had such a warm feeling once we walked inside and the food and staff was just a plus. The cook definitely knows what they’re doing, food was delicious & was very fresh. My son loved our waitress she was the sweetest make sure you show her love when you go in! I’m a waitress myself at MTnest in pond Eddy and I don’t usually eat out a lot but I’ll definitely be back! Worth stopping for! ❤️

I have been going to Irene's Eldred Diner for years, whenever I was in town to visit parents. Breakfast is always great. Fresh eggs, cooked well, tasty, nicely seasoned fried potatoes and buttered toast. I especially like the sausage links. Staff is friendly. We've brought guests with us as well and everyone was happy.

Think I was there at its busiest point. There was only one waitress taking care of the counter and all the tables, and even though the kitchen was slow, she kept the coffee and water flowing. Food was good and worth the wait

Just your basic old fashion dinner! We had a nice conversation with a man that said his nickname was uncle fester. Lol The waitress was definitely busy. But, she knew how to work the room. Everyone was very patient waiting for their food. Great coffee!

Small and quaint. I would describe it as being the "Cheers" of food. Exceptional service, great food all at very reasonable prices for generous portions. I really enjoyed the hometown feel as the locals are having a conversation and a stranger is welcome to join in. This location may be a little out of the way, but it is definitely worth the few extra miles to go. Highly recommended.

Excellent breakfast place with great Boars Head style sausage links. Truly homemade pierogis and stuffed cabbage highlight the lunch/dinner menu. Irene is a wonderful Eastern European chef without pretension or culinary airs. Terrific value in a menu replete with solidly priced meals. Directly across the street from the Shrewd Fox brewpub which has outdoor seating where you can take your food from Irene's and enjoy beer made by a terrific Eastern European heritage brewmaster. Can't go wrong.
