We absolutely love the Coaches here! The amount of patience, discipline, encouragement, & careful explanation of Brazil Jiu-jitsu and has been an amazing experience. We never feel intimated. We are there to learn good character & respect 🙏🏽They give the kids 100% of their time and you can see the passion is there in all they do. My son have trained at Gracie Barra El Paso since 2014. We enjoy the exceptional training environment provided by Professors Jeff and Frisco and the entire coaching staff.
Professors Jeff and Frisco are both black belts and are highly knowledgeable and very patient. All of the coaches (Myriah, Jon, Fred, Rogers and Micah), coaches assistants and teammates make Gracie Barra El Paso the greatest place to train BJJ. Brazilian Jiu-jitsu itself is therapeutic and a lot of fun but GBEP makes the experience that much better.
Such a wonderful place to train. My daughter trained for about a year and a half which led to me training and it’s been such a friendly and welcoming environment! From the get go everyone was kind and the staff have been nothing short of fantastic (cleanliness is great as well!)
I can’t say enough good things about this gym. They were so welcoming to our whole family. My son started when he was 4 and they take training very seriously and don’t let the kids mess around. We tried out 3 other gyms before picking this one. This was the only one where the coaches balanced the kids having fun while simultaneously prioritizing training. It’s so so great for my son to have and see other adults in his life that prioritize rules and respect. It really helps us with discipline and parenting!! 5 starts on cleanliness too :)

I live in Arizona and was in El Paso visiting family. I have been doing BJJ in AZ and decided to visit Gracie Barra El Paso. Having only ever been to one school I was nervous as it was similar to the very first time you ever walk into a school. I was quickly greeted by several students and coach, Fred. Coach Fred’s instruction was spot on and very detailed, and I learned a lot from my first class. I look forward to going back each time I visit El Paso, and bringing my daughters to the kids class. This place is amazing! The instructors are so patient. I have three boys attending ages 3-8 and the instructors have shown patience and care for the kids! They are so great! I highly recommend this Gracie Barra school!
There’s plenty of instructors to help instruct kids individually and give the individual attention they need. My son (4) loves it so much, he asks to go everyday! It gives him a great source of pride and they are very family friendly and family oriented. Definitely would recommend this place.
This place has been so great for my three year old! Even thought he cried the first couple of lessons the instructors were so attentive and never gave up on him. He got all the encouragement he needed and now he loves it. I really can't say enough about the instructors and the ladies at the front desk who are so friendly and sweet.
