The energy and camaraderie at this academy is unprecedented. If you're looking for a place to help you grow in humility, strength, toughness, technicality, efficiency, and patience, look no further. There are no words for the help and inspiration I have received from this invaluable jiu-jitsu academy. Their hrs are more than accommodating; they care about their students' growth; they compete at an excellent level; and lastly, the instruction is the best I've ever known. I cannot recommend El Paso Gracie Barra Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) enough. Do your physiological-self a favor and go discover what BJJ can do for you.

I can’t say enough good things about this gym. They were so welcoming to our whole family. My son started when he was 4 and they take training very seriously and don’t let the kids mess around. We tried out 3 other gyms before picking this one. This was the only one where the coaches balanced the kids having fun while simultaneously prioritizing training. It’s so so great for my son to have and see other adults in his life that prioritize rules and respect. It really helps us with discipline and parenting!! 5 starts on cleanliness too :)

I live in Arizona and was in El Paso visiting family. I have been doing BJJ in AZ and decided to visit Gracie Barra El Paso. Having only ever been to one school I was nervous as it was similar to the very first time you ever walk into a school. I was quickly greeted by several students and coach, Fred. Coach Fred’s instruction was spot on and very detailed, and I learned a lot from my first class. I look forward to going back each time I visit El Paso, and bringing my daughters to the kids class. Thank you coach Frank and GB El Paso!

My son have trained at Gracie Barra El Paso since 2014. We enjoy the exceptional training environment provided by Professors Jeff and Frisco and the entire coaching staff. Professors Jeff and Frisco are both black belts and are highly knowledgeable and very patient. All of the coaches (Myriah, Jon, Fred, Rogers and Micah), coaches assistants and teammates make Gracie Barra El Paso the greatest place to train BJJ. Brazilian Jiu-jitsu itself is therapeutic and a lot of fun but GBEP makes the experience that much better.

We absolutely love the Coaches here! The amount of patience, discipline, encouragement, & careful explanation of Brazil Jiu-jitsu and has been an amazing experience. We never feel intimated. We are there to learn good character & respect 🙏🏽They give the kids 100% of their time and you can see the passion is there in all they do. This academy prides itself in its teachings. Professor Jeff Vigil and Professor Frisco De Leon are top notch. Both Professors take the time to make sure students are taught properly. Coach Mando has the heart of a lion and makes sure all his students are cared for properly. I’d recommend this place to anyone whether you’re into self defense or a great workout. 10 Stars.
