Love this layout and the scenery was great and the course did not disapoint.
Play discourse about 10 years ago. A friend and I were in town decided to give it another try. Very nice clubhouse and pro shop. Staff were very friendly from check in till check out. Good size driving range shipping and putting practice area. Course was in pretty good shape. Some of the greens had pretty good size bare spots on them but for the most part they ran true and very fast. I was warned that they were fast and they were. Fairways were in pretty good shape not a lot of grass to hit off of right now in certain spots it was like hitting off of the cart path. Tough to get your Club under the ball. This is a tough course there's a lot of risk reward holes and a lot of holes where you've got to keep it in the middle or it's going to be off into the bushes and the desert. Weekend rate $51 that's okay. Definitely recommend Butterfield trails golf course when you're in town
The best golf course in El Paso. We hosted our fundraising golf tournament for the second year here. They're great, staff is friendly and the grounds are well kept
It's not the golf course it was when it first opened, yet it's not pricey either. I did think it needs better general maintenance. The grounds need more care. It could be far more tidy and well kept. The place is still worth the current price but does need management to step it up on grounds cleanliness. I would still go back though. It's still a Tom Fazio!!!! El Paso is a hard place to keep green...we need to support this business.
Haven't played here in a couple of years and was surprised how well kept the greens were. Prices seem to have gone down as well. Fairways and tee boxes were a little below par but I'm sure will improve when spring rolls around.
Great guy in the Pro Shop. I didn’t get his name but he was professional and courteous. Course conditions were good overall. Tee boxes were good, fairways great, and greens acceptable. I enjoyed a couple deceptive tee shots and the par 3s. Par 5s we’re scoring holes as well as few par 4s. Overalls a fun course with some great views and history
Great layout, but the course needs some love. Fairways are mostly good, unless left or right, then ya gotta hit out of sand with some small rocks. A lot of the greens have spots all over them that aren't flat, dead spots that throw you ball off like. Maintenance is being done. Hopefully, greens can be fixed. Most tee boxes aren't bad. Throughout the course, there's places where there used to be grass, now it's just dirt or sand. The driving range isn't bad at all, $5 small bag with about 30 balls. Enjoyed the layout enough to go back. A lot of up and down and some blind shots too. Not flat at all, challenging and enjoyable. Those bunkers need more sand or dug up, very hard hitting out of them.
I've always enjoyed this course. The recent rain has kept this course nice and green. The greens are in great shape and it was a great experience over all. The twilight is currently only $21. You can't beat that! Highly recommend it.
Loved thier relaxing atmosphere, superior service and great food. Went there for lunch and their variety of sandwiches, burgers and sides were perfect. Something for every taste. I had thier chicken avacado bacon sandwich. Juicy, huge and tasty! Others had their monster wrap, club and BLT sandwiches....all fantastic! Surprisingly great fries (seasoned) accompanied them and I added the green chile mac and cheese.....what an excellent treat!. Great food, prices, service and atmosphere - what more could you want? Will come again soon.
These Golfers don’t know what they are talking about.. The Course is getting back to its original shape after being abandon for a little over a year.. They just got rights to a 2 million $ water well & should be back to shape in no time.. Fazio would be so proud
The carts guys are GREAT, ATTENTIVE and deserve a raise immediately..
