Review El Prado Bakery - El Paso

The tamales were really tasty and the menudo delicious; however, we managed to be waited on by the rudest cashier. Don't think we'll be returning. It's a good place for a 5:30 a.m. craving though.

I've lived next to this place for almost 3 years... and I regret that I hadn't stopped in sooner! The pan dulce was great and they had tons to chose from. The burritos were super flavorful! I tried the brisket and the rojo. The brisket one was so full of meat the tortilla couldn't contain it. The rojo tasted so good im already craving another! Also tried a single red tamale 🫔.... and I think it may have been the best tamale I've ever had! (Don't tell my mom I said that! 😬)

Great Bakery!! We went there a little later in the morning on a weekday and it was busy. Very clean and organized establishment. We ordered 2 breakfast burritos, drinks, and a dessert, all for just under $12. The burritos were amazing and quite large with plenty of meat. The dessert was perfect. We will be going back to this bakery many times and would recommend it to anyone.

First time experience 10/10!!! Of course the line was wrapped around the building, but for me that was even more of an indication that I should give this place a try! To say this place has quite an assortment of pastries is an understatement! I got a chocolate glaze, a roll with icing and a piece of strawberry cheesecake which were all fairly large items all for $5.41. This place has instantly won my heart! Definitely satisfied my pregnancy craving for donuts for sure! I will be taking my husband here for his bday breakfast which I know he will enjoy since he has quite a sweet tooth!

Delicious, clean, and good prices. I like that they are open until 9pm; I was able to get a ton of different pan dulce for a morning office party the night before! Tortas and burritos were also amazing. I will definitely be going back! Plus, they have pozole every Friday Saturday and Sunday.

What a gem of a place. The donuts are absolutely amazing. We had the charizo, egg, potato and bean burrito. It tasted a little bland.

Definitely worth the long lines to get the Menudo and sweetbread on the weekends

Top 3 best Mexican Bakeries I have ever been to. Traditional mexican sweet bread and the most fresh and light Pan Blanco ever. All in a very clean and modern building. Super nice and helpful staff. Plus they have burritos! Yes actual burritos, not tacos for those used to Tex-Mex. Made with fresh in house made flour tortillas. Try the Barbacoa, Chile Relleno, or Chicharonne burrito. For sweet bread I recommend Pumpkin empanadas or any donut and espnoja/concha. If you pay cash you wont get charged the credit debit service fee of 4% so be prepared. They also have tamales pretty much year round. A cute little covered patio also for when that becomes an option again. 10 out of 10 do recommend.

The bread and the flour tortillas are really good good the burritos are good very good when you get a burrito with red chile on the side get 2 cause its little bit in the tiny cup menudo is good it don't smell like other places Saturday's and Sundays are busy in the morning and noon time highly recommend 🔥🔥🔥

Been here several times for both donuts and sweetbreads as well as lunch... I'm never disappointed. Sometimes it takes a few extra minutes to be served but it's well worth the short wait and I'm never in a hurry when I visit. The ladies behind the counter are always patient with my lack of Spanish even though for most of them it's their first language. I have yet to try their menudo or pazole on the weekends but I hear it's excellent!

The best sweet bread in town, my favorite are the cookies with sprinkles :)The orange juice is delicious and they have the best tamales. The staff is wonderful, Araceli, Yesenia, Xiomara, etc etc.... they are awesome, every one of them. I recommend this bakery to everyone, it’s the best like no other :)

Always on point! I've always experienced great service, delicious food and in an efficient time. Whenever I am on this side of town I make it a point to go by. Wish you had a location by Cielo Vista.

Everything on the menu is delicious and made with love and quality ingredients. The staff is professional and courteous. The prices are an amazing deal. The indoor patio is a great spot to enjoy your meal or snack.

I used to love this place but the past few weeks the orders have been wrong. Just today we ordered 2 tamales, they were cold in the middle, tasted musty and like they were in the fridge a long time, plus they got the orders wrong.. I'm done with this place. Used to be my favorite and I kept going back thinking it was a one time mistake but it has become regular.. I advise anyone who visits this place smell and check your orders all the time or don't go at all.

I love their bakes, but their costumer service sucks!!! On multiple occasions I had to wait for the staff to acknowledge my presence... and it wasn't packed, few people only. Yesterday they served all the people that walked before me and after me and then when I was a last person they finally asked me what would I like... there is one guy only that is very friendly and does his job great but the rest needs to work on their costumer service skills... also I am not Spanish so most of the bakes I don't know and I would like to try maybe some more but staff couldn't even describe what is inside the pastries and what taste do they have... I'm thinking if you want the sales to be good get your staff trained better, so they can get you a new costumers... so 1 star for service, 5 for food

Yesterday was my first time. I kept calling multiple times, but never got an answer. I got menudo, wich was good. but OMG!! it was very, very salty. I asked the young gentleman at the front if they changed the phone #, bc I got it from google, he said no, I told him I called several times and no answer, he replied: " I'm to busy" But when I went I was the only one, but while waiting more people arrived. Suggestion...You should have more employees if you are that busy, especially on weekends. Hopefully next time, menudo won't be so salty. PS: Why on Fb page it has like i rated it 4 stars , but I gave 3 stars. Somebody altered my rate?

Disrespectful and horrible service. My wife ordered specific items and received completely different things. When my wife told the cashier about her mistake, a lady in the back proceeded to say curse words in Spanish about us thinking we didnt understand what she was saying; very disrespectful. Overall very dissapointed in their customer service. Never going back and will reccomend everyone to stay away in every way possible. I hope the owner is aware of the kind of people he/she employs as it is driving customers away from coming back. After reading other past customers reviews, I am not the only one who has experienced the horrible customer service.

If you have zero clientele, don't be rude to the few that chose YOUR business. The staff behind the counter was bothered when we came in and made it very obvious.

Everything I've ever ordered there super good. But for menudo be ready to stand in line for a while in peak hours. They do get people out rather quickly. I would say under 20 min. I'd suggest getting there super early as they open at 5 or 6am if you don't want to wait.
Christel Foerster-Mendez
We get menudo from here every weekend. It’s the best!! The francesitos are my favorite. Getting through on the phone can be a little frustrating but it’s worth the wait. I ordered menudo and tamales for Christmas and they were a big hit!

I recently went to buy some burritos and a few pieces of sweet bread... I was charged for additional items but didn't notice till I got home and actually looked at my receipt... I sent El Prado a message through messenger asking why I had additional charges and they said the owner would contact me "ASAP". Well I was never contacted back and now it makes me wonder why they always ask "would u like your receipt?" No telling how many other customers they're doing this too as well.. this used to be my favorite bakery and it's really gone down for the worst these past few months, I used to love the menudo and posole and now it's just nasty, it has no flavor.. the bread is not even as good as it used to be... it's obvious my concern was of no concern to them so therefore this review is WELL DESERVED. I will not be returning to any of your locations and I will spread the word of how u slightly over charge, and yes $2.80 may not be a large amount of money to over charge but if u do it hundreds or possibly thousands of times a month that's theft... grand larceny as a matter of fact.... I will post my receipt along with screen shots of conversation on messenger in the comments of this review.

There brisket burritos with beans is the best burrito I ever tasted. Good flavor soft and tender. Also their doughnuts and empanadas are so good and fresh. I could go there everyday.

Food is delicious but service is horrible called to place an order and I was told I couldn't order if it wasn't something from the kitchen and got hung up nowhere does it say that ... rude ladies love your job your job pays your bills😐

This bakery was one of my father's favorite places since moving back to El Paso. I enjoyed visiting there several mornings this past week as tribute to my dad shortly before and after his passing on 11-15-16. You all were so kind to him, and this means the world to us, his children. I now know why this place was special to him. Thank you.
