Went here with friends for dinner. Walking distance from airport hotels. The salad bar was huge and interesting and clean and produce/vegetables were fresh. Tastiest Ranch dressing I have ever had! I also ordered the chicken Alfredo. All of it pretty good. You also get free freshly baked bread with butter. Some of my friends had complaints about items on the salad bar (Jello was super sweet, hard to reach the center for items even though the tongs are 20" long, sprouts tasted moldy, etc). It was a busy night but service was poor. Our server was very nice but her attention to detail or maybe her memory was lacking. For example a friend ordered a burger (which looked amazing!) and wanted ketchup and mustard. We had to ask 3 times for the mustard with long gaps of time in between. Same thing when we wanted the bill but couldn't find her. We tried to flag down other staff but no luck. We collectively observed a whole collection of servers hoovering around an order station. Not ordering stuff. Just standing around. Was there a house manager on hand? This place has a good reputation and good food. Maybe more involved management would cure the server issues?
I got the 10oz Ribeye and it was cooked perfectly - tasty and very tender. And the baked sweet potato was almost custard-like inside, the perfect side. The all you can eat salad bar is fantastic, and has a couple of soups as well as a few small desserts (fruit, jello & pudding).
Visiting El Paso for work, this place was across the street from my Marriot Hotel. Amazing waiting staff. Very nice, very professional. One of the best salad bars I've ever had. Amazing corn chowder. Great steaks for the price. Very clean with a nice Western themed atmosphere. So good I came back to back nights.
I haven't eaten here in years, but today my neighbor took me out to dine at the Cattle Baron. My French dip meal was Delicious and the Salad bar was full of everything from veggies, side salads, bread, and vanilla / chocolate pudding.
Overall, it was filling and will return another day!
My coworker and I stayed in a hotel nearby and walked over here to eat. We liked it so much the first day we ended up coming back every night for dinner for 7 nights lol. The steaks are great and consistent. I really liked the ribeye with the butter and Parmesan. Our waitress Charlie pretty much had our order memorized because she saw us so often. The salad bar was also good with a lot of toppings and a different soup each night which was also always very good.
Best steak in years, you can add $5 for salad bar. Great service, definitely recommend.
Got the 16oz prime rib...was good...maybe really good, butt not amazing.

Those bacon wrapped shrimp 🥰🥰🥰those are a must! Bread had good texture. Ribeye was good. Do yourself a favor and get the peppered flavoring on it. Pay the extra $3! So worth it! I ordered mushrooms, they could have been cooked a little bit longer. Mashed potatoes had a good peppered gravy. Our waiter, John Paul, was excellent. He came and checked frequently with us. I gave it a 4 stars because the steak was good but I wanted just a little more from the flavoring and I was sad about the mushrooms. Overall, I would go back again and looking forward to my next visit!
We had guests from out of town come for a visit and heard they loved salad bars, so we knew we had to take them to Cattle Baron! They really enjoyed it.
The highlight: Omar is the best server we have ever had! We brought a party of 18, and Omar handled our table like an expert. He's entertaining, and he doesn't miss a beat! We were very impressed.
Ordered the prime rib, it was delicious. Also had soup and salad bar. Everything was fresh. Our waiter John, was friendly, very attentive and extremely efficient. The salad bar had a nice selection of veggies and salads and dessert items. I love the fresh bread they serve. All the staff here is friendly and helpful.
