The BEST tamales and enchiladas in El Paso, NO, THE UNIVERSE!!!! THIS IS HOW TEJANOS EAT enchiladas, truly and carefully made into scrumptious TEXMEX. I miss my beloved El Paso, but it is only a short flight away. At Christmas, EVERY TEXAN and Yankees who have visited, DREAM OF EL PASO AND THE BEST TEXMEX FOOD IN THE WORLD. As my Papà said, "You're not bragging if it's true." TRUE TO THE CORE. ALL I Want for Christmas is TEXMEX FROM EL PASO! Bring it, Santa or Reyes Magos. I'm waiting.

This is our favorite pick-up Mexican restaurant. The gorditas are my favorite, and we always get chicken strips with fries. We need to start buying the salsa by the quart.

El Paso is not short on Mexican restaurants (obviously). What they are lacking are ones whose food isn’t too greasy, doesn’t sit like a brick in your stomach, doesn’t have a bunch of garbage in the rice, or refried beans that taste (and look) like they came out of a can. El Paso Hot Tamales is the exception. It’s one of those “hole in the wall” restaurant that stays in business because they have a great product
