It's the best bakery in town, have been going there since they moved to Socorro Road from their old location next to Valle Verde. Owner makes best flour tortillas EVER!!!!!! Better than my sweet grandma's!!!
The REAL DEAL. Some of the finest Mexican bread and pastries in town. Clean! Menudo is terrific. Very patient and attentive with non-Spanish speaking clients--so appreciated! A MUST.
People behind the counter are the best . Always greet you with a smile and will make recommendations if they are out of a certain bread. Its all good.
Great staple of the lower valley, great breads of all sorts. Highly recommended
I was visiting El Paso and I could not leave without visiting Bowie bakery. Got some pan dulce and some red tamales, green chicken tamales and some queso with Chile. OMG they did not disappoint. And the lady behind the counter provided excellent service.
I love this place, they have a good variety of bread. There are a couple of times that they have run out certain breads so I believe first come first serve is important for bakeries especially and we hit the colder months which make sweet bread more desirable. If I could ask to improve one thing would be their Chocolate covered donuts. I would like them to be made with higher quality chocolate. Plus the chocolate tends to break off quickly from the donut. The people that have helped me are real nice. Next time I visit I would like to buy one of their Pastel de Tres Leches.
Wow…the bread is delicious the French bread and the sweet…awesome bread…n I had bought tamales there a while back n they were delicious too…red and green😋
Have to go early for certain sweet bread.
Yummy delicious sweet bread. No one compares to this bakery not even there other location on Park St. Park street has very few and simple and dull types of sweetbread.
Great service and bread! I really enjoy the selection that they have and keep the tradition going!
In my opinion this is the best bakery ever in El Paso County! Their Baked goods are the best I have ever tasted & the staff is very friendly, especially the lady up front was very sweet, I would recommend to go to this bakery for your baked goods.
Great. Customer service is always great with the lady thats there. Simply love their pineapple empanadas. They don't just smear or dab it. The empanada is filled...all of them. Tried their wheat pumpkin and they are delicious. The tamales are tasty but just had no chile taste. They are good but need more chile cumin and garlic. Overall they are tasty for the non chile person.
The bread is delicious and theres a wonderful variety compared to other bakeries nearby. I ususally come on Friday mornings for a little treat and my favorite bread is always available.
My only complaint of the place is the cashoer who is never welcoming or friendly. She never smiles, never answers when you ask her how shes doing or how the day is going. She just stands there like she doesnt hear you.
Excellent menudo, but they only make it on Sunday's, usually sold out by 10am, so get there early. Also, they make a great green chili pork stew ("guisado"). Highly recommended.
How can you not love this place? It should be one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Plus the ladies that work there are super nice and friendly. I never come to El Paso without a trip to Bowie Bakery.
