Best menudo and pan in El Paso in my opinion. The only thing I dislike is that they NEVER answer when you want to place a to go order so 4/5 times we end up going to Horizon Bakery to avoid the trouble.

I ordered the Chile Relleno Burger and it was DELICIOUS. We ordered tamales as well but we almost left thinking they forgot about that but when I started thinking about how much our total had been-- I realized we paid for them and they'd genuinely forgot to bring them to our table. I'm not sure if you pick the tamales up at the counter inside this restaurant but the waitress did not tell us that was the case. I would definitely come here again! I recommend the Chile Relleno Burger to anyone whose curious. 😋

All around great place to eat for great Mexican food. I always have individual tamales, but the last time we went had had both tamales and menudo and as always they didn't disappoint. The kids miss the local fare and order enchiladas montadas their favorite. We live in South central Texas and miss El Paso food, so when we come home, we always hit La Choza.

Best tamales and menudo! On a hot July day, the line was out the door! People were patiently waiting for what turned out to be the best Mexican food. I highly recommend if you are ever in the area.

Delicious 😋🤤 menudo. I had the menudo, hubby had a mole burrito (very tasty 😋) and huevos ranchero's. Everything was good 👍. This is worth the stop whenever we're in town.

Their "special" really is special. Asado de puerco is very good. Just as advertised. The server whom I asked about the dish described it "to a t." Did not disappoint at all. Very few "authentic" Mexican restaurants in El Paso. May not be as good as my suegros asado but truly authentic and delicious.

***Update**** 07/16/22 Stooped by for breakfast around 8am. Wasn't that busy, no more than 15 guest. One lady approached & said we had to go to a table/counter type to look over menu & place order before being sat. Kinda awkward, but whatever. After placing order we were sat. We got the coffee right away. Then as food was coming out, we were told that the agua fresca (Horchata) was still being made. Like 5-10 minutes. My kids didn't eat their breakfast because they were waiting on drink. At least 15 minutes past & supposedly it was being brought out. We decided to order orange juice. Finally waitress brought the agua Fresca. The good thing was it was really good & made fresh or we would have been super upset. Customer service 4 star, food was a 3.5 star because of agua issue. 2/19/22 10:30am breakfast. 4 star experience. Walked in & was sat right away. Took drink/food order right away. Coffee & menudo was really good. We used to come often, but a few years back we had bad service & stopped going. Since today's experience was good, we'll try another time

I am so glad that I listened to my uncle when he recommended me eat here. I went on a Saturday around noon. The wait was less than five minutes. We ordered and then sat down at our table. They had fresh orange juice so we tried one. It was pretty good. I ordered a small menudo and Juevos rancheros. Oh man I am so glad that my mouth tasted all these wonderful flavors. My fiancé is from Houston and they eat their menudo with cilantro and tortillas lol so I made him try it with oregano and bread. He actually loved it. He also got barbacoa tacos and he was impressed. The service was fast. The food was hot and it came out quick. Paying was easy and overall was happy with everything,
