The local work crew takes me there for lunch every month. A true local experience. The food is always fresh and flavourful. Sorry, New Englanders, but the best clam chowder I ever tasted is served in the Borderland, here at Senior Fish. Recommending the fish tacos and anything on the menu that mentions "diablo" is a treat if you like spicy dishes. The fish soup is phenomenal. Toasted sliced bread, chips, sauce, and a Pico come with most orders, so if you're in for just soup and salad, you won't leave hungry. The staff is friendly and informative, Spanish is the primary language. However, the waitresses will communicate in English as well. The lunch crowd is local folks who fill most seats by noon, suggesting arriving about 1100. There are 100s of choices for local restaurants and cafés to seek lunch in El Paso....this gem should be a must visit.

I like local restaurants and this was a one of them . Loved the service and the food . Very nice people. I would highly recommend this place to any one very laid back place . That is a whole meal. I was satisfied before I ate my main course which is the fish plate .

The dated decor, to include heavy paneling and officepark light fixtures, feel very dated. The seats are also cheap and not comfortable. Why do restaurants in El Paso always have such terrible seating? Nowhere I can think of can you relax in a large upholstered chair. Instead you have to sit in a church stackable chair like this or- slightly worse- a metal garden chair or -worst of all- one of those metal stools with a hole in the seat which you have to scrape loudly along a cement floor. Why, in El Paso, has it not occurred to a single restaurateur to invest in decent chairs? Must they all be purgatorial experiences? The worst is a Sinaloa- style fish place whose name escapes me, which has carved wooden bucket seats that while authentically Mexican beach style have rattan woven sides and front that seem unable to be cleaned properly. But I was talking about Señor Fish. I remember my parents going here in the 80's, and it does seem like their decor remins unchanged . Their menu is passable wide, as you expect, and their dinner special is fish done in one of a dozen or so styles. I had the ajillo style, which was not superheated, but had a garkicy red Chile sauce that had enough of a bite.it came with the ever present accompaniments--French dinner rolls, garden salad, buttered baked potato. Why is every fish restaurant in El Paso exactly the same?

It was good. The prices were decent. The shrimp tacos were different but they had good flavor. The tacos came with a side of mashes potatoes. That was different but tasty. The meal also came with a choice of soup. The fish soup was good. It's a good little spot to grab a bite to eat

Actually I have been to this place several times. Their pasta with shrimp is really really great but very rich. My niece had the oysters and she really seemed to enjoy them. Their clam chowder soup is also very good and there bread is warm buttery and soft. This is my go-to place for seafood.

My dad loves the fish soup here, he's been eating it for years. It's his favorite place to eat. I always get the shrimp cocktail which is delicious as well. Great service and we've never had to wait for a table.
