Food here is always great, prices have gone up in the last few years, but Still very reasonable if you ask me. Serving sizes are usually on the bigger size, so your pretty much guaranteed to get full. My favorite is the 4 huge flautas with crema y queso, they Normally come with avocado, onions and tomatoes too but I always have them skip that. Top everything with the red and avocado salsas and you have something amazing.
Always Amazing! On my last visit to El Paso, TX I brought my grandpa to eat here for the first time! The restaurant was very clean. The salad and salsa bar was clean and filled up. The agua frescas they have were refreshing!The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. This taqueria is undefeated. 🤤🥹❤️ my grandpa and bestie all ate here and we all loved it! If you’re visiting EP or are debating if you should try this place… do it… you will not regret it 🤤☺️😃
THE BEST FLAUTAS I HAVE EVER EATEN! And for $6! I waited in line several minutes to order flautas and steak tacos and lemonade. Long line - when the food is this amazing and the prices this low, then a long line is expected. They have a great salsa bar - i could drink the green avocado salsa - it is so good! The pico is as good as i have eaten - just balanced, fresh, not very hot - but EXCELLENT! Also cucumber and radishes and other things on the salsa bar to give the food a fresh twist! The waitress brings me chips as soon as i find a table and i devour the salsa bar’s offerings.The flautas arrive shortly after - covered in crema, queso fresco, onions, tomato, avocado - the flautas are rolled tightly, fried perfectly - not greasy but crisp - a delectable bite! The steak is covered with white cheese and the fresh tortillos with it make an amazing pairing for the flautas. If You are in El Paso - do Yourself a favor - eat the flautas at La Cometa!

Raul at 3am was thei most badass service I've received in a long time. His dance moves are next level and his customer service was A1. He deserves a raise for his personal touch he adds to the wonderful food experience El Cometa provides.
They have good food here and a good selection. The flautas are always CALIENTE. The salsa bar is always topped off which is awesome. I really enjoy the sencilla quesadilla- but they never understand what I’m asking for since I’m white. But that’s ok. The pastor and alambre are good too. The serving sizes are typically pretty sizable.
I had a craving, and it was takin care of. This place is on a regular rotation.
Took my mom there she loves the flautas with the cheese she loves them so I take her everytime she wants to go and it very often and she is 91 years old...
Went at 2am, even though it was packed. The way they handled the crowd was great. Food was delicious, the atmosphere even better. I shall return..
