Review Forti's Mexican Restaurant - El Paso

Food was delicious. Live music was great and not too loud. Nice atmosphere and wait staff was very friendly. I love this restaurant.

Tried the Italian margarita. Very nice. Food was delicious too. There was a party so parking was little hard. One thing that surprised me was that after 3pm it is categorized as dinner, not lunch. so it is more expensive.

Well known but hidden. Appearance was well kept. Atmosphere is super I loved it. Had the whole place to ourselves.👍 Drinks were good and food was delicious. Plenty of room with no sense of stuffiness, patios and waterfalls make you not want to leave. Must visit!

Went to celebrate fathers day. The place was hot they had fans on everywhere they seemed short staffed. And the ice on the beverages was melting fast. But the enchiladas I got were very dleicous and hot plate that was good.

Went with a group of people. Provided a big table so we all got to eat together. The service was exceptional! Food came out in a timely manner, even late comers were served right after those who arrived at stated time. The waitress was very attentive and needs were met.The food was plentiful and most had take home boxes. The one complaint, had several elderly people with walking issues( canes, etc.) Floors are very uneven with many ups and downs. Many opportunities to trip.

Great service. Thanks to our server Monica. She great and on point didn't need anything or ask for anything. She was so attentive and so nice. Thank you for great service and great food 😀 👍 👌 👏.

Stopped in for dinner, party of three. I ordered the carnitas which were nicely seasoned and properly cooked. The other two both ordered enchiladas and were not impressed. The presentation was nice, but the flavors were average. A little disappointing.

I haven't eaten here in about 10 years since I don't live close to Texas. We just had to have dinner here one evening while working in the area. It was just like I remembered. Delicious!

We had friends take us here to celebrate my husbands birthday. The food and Mexican decor was wonderful. We shared shrimp fajitas and it was excellent. There was so much food we took it home. We also enjoyed a margarita and order of guacamole. We were not able to consume all of the food. Because it is not easily spotted from the highway it is a place we would never have discovered if not for our friends who shared this wonderful discovery.

Giant beef flautas! Try the Chicken Tampequenia. Kickback relaxing ambience. Great place to take a date. Excellent buffet type set up for family gatherings and special occasions.

1st time eating in this restaurant, my mom had a combination plate with 2-tamales, 1-chile relleno, 1-beef taco the only thing she noted was that the red sauce that was put on top of the tamales was too hot/spicy she couldn't eat it, so ask for the sauce on the side. I had the forti's burger topped with green Chilies but they turned out to be jalapeños to spicy for my taste it also was supposed to have American cheese and the gave me some white cheese like asadero not for me at least not on a hamburger. I removed both the chilies and white cheese so left with a plain burger the taste of the meat was at least good. We really liked the atmosphere in there looks like it's a three level place they have a piano in the first level so I'm sure they probably have music but I didn't ask. I do have to say that our server was super nice first time here in El Paso where a serve actually keeps your glasses full. So I would definitely come back I would just be more cautious of the spicy ingredients maybe get them on the side. 💚

The food and service was horrible! I hate that this restaurant is giving people an impression of Mexican food. The queso was unrecognizable and cold! They ran out of chips with four tables in the whole restaurant. The waiter said they only had Strawberry Margaritas but then some how found the mix for a regular margarita. Some people did not get their food because the waiter said we did not order. This waiter/manager was rude and argumentative! I would never go back or send anybody to eat at this restaurant!

The food was mediocre and the service was very bad. We were seated and then seemingly ignored. After probably about at least 10-15 minutes, I was able to get someone to take a drink order from my group of five. We placed our beverage order, got menus and after a few minutes were able to order food. It must have taken about an hour for our food to be delivered. The server didn't seem to know who had ordered what. He then proceeded to manually pass out silverware (I believe I had to ask for it). I then asked for napkins for all of us and some silverware for my boss. Eventually the server returned with more silverware and proceeded to hand out paper napkins. We he didn't so much hand them out. It was more putting a stack of napkins (like the kind you would buy from the grocery store to use at home) with instructions to us to pass them around. The food was mediocre, and my meal looked as though it had sat under a heat lamp for an extended period of time. This was my third visit there and likely my last. It was a big disappointment and embarrassing for me since I picked the place.

Don't eat there service sucks. Waited 30 minutes to get glass of ice. And the place was empty. Plus it's overly priced and the food was not good. Refried beans were horrible actually stuck to plate. Plus several in our party never got there food

The place it self is beautiful ! Service was okayyyy...And the food was well..What can I say ...Not that great...I believe most of their food is frozen or out of a can...! We were a party of about 30 and only had 1 waiter !! Food was served four plates at a time and most of us were done way before half of us were served...Half of our food was cold...

This is probably the best real authentic mexican food restaurant in El Paso. I believe EVERYTHING in the menu is great. I have been at Fortis so many times and always very satisfied. Excellent service, great environment, supreme food!

Took forever with our food, waitress kept forgetting to bring our drinks & what not. They shouldn't include 18% gratuity for 6 or more for bad service & over priced food.

My good friend brings me here every time I visit El Paso and I love it. The top shelf margaritas are awesome and Fajitas are some of the best I have ever had full of flavor and huge. Can't wait to go back!!

We were there for a dinner with a co-worker, a party of 12. The service was not very good. It seemed like they were overwhelmed. We had a hard time getting our drinks. One of our friends was completely forgotten and the other one was brought a mojito without mint because they ran out. In regards to the food we were served in increments some of us were done eating before others got their food. Somebody complained that their plate was cold. We didn't get enough chips and salsa. After dinner a friend tried ordering vegas bombs and they said they didn't have red bull. The worst part was that we only had one server. The place is really nice but it does need a lot work in regards to customer service. It's a shame because we were really looking forward to a good time.

First time eating here and I absolutely loved it. Highly recommend it to anyone going to El Paso.

There are other fantastic restaurants in El Paso claiming to serve outstanding, authentic Mexican Food. Some actually do. Of those which do, Fortis is the grandfather of these establishments and the standard by all others are judged. Service - excellent. Ambiance - ideal. Food - outstanding. It’s that simple. ... ... ... This place ROCKS!

Just had best Mexican food ever, and margarita unlike other places it tasted like real tequila not sweet and sour

My favorite place to eat when in El Paso! I've been going there over 20 years now - the service is always excellent and the food is heavenly.

Very authentic and food is savory. The ceviche is one of my favorites along with the Salpicon. Breakfast is amazing and the michiladas are refreshing. Luv luv!!!

Great food, service and prices. Huge place with plenty of sectioned off areas for large gatherings.
