I had not been here in years since kids were small and our son invited us I had forgotten how good it was had the Chile beans the Chile stew the cheese burger and fries so good and we had a good server so our food and time spent was good memory our drinks were always topped off
Overall, a good hole-in-the-wall burger joint. I had the Cheeseburger basket with regular fries. The salsa verde was a nice touch, but the fries are nothing special. I sat at the counter and received good service. They still accept cash only.
Best burger in El Paso I've found yet. Its dirty, small hole in a wall, only takes cash, and has flies. But it's awesome. It has to be with all of the above. And it has great prices. The chili cheese fries are something to try also.
Awesome. My wife and I had too experience the roscos burgers for our self and let me tell you wow! Very good burger I had the double burger with chill-fri, my wife had the burger and fries very good! Have to go back and try there chill beans.
Fed the family for 25 bucks. Burgers were good and the green salsa was tasty. My wife appreciated the fact that both the dining area and restrooms were clean.
Love this place! Typical hole in the wall with delicious burgers and green salsa. Right near my neighborhood. This is where I go to enjoy a delicious hamburger. Infinitely better than the disgusting chico's that's right across the street.
Roscp's. I have been to this place three times and each time the food was delicious; the long lines during the week makes it hard to get in this place. But overall the food is well prepared and delicious.
Great place if you want a great burger. My wife had her first one and enjoyed it. Bring cash and come around noon for lunch.
Best burger in my life!!. Granted, I can be easily pleased but, wow. I had the double cheeseburger and it was love at first sight and fatal attraction at first bite. Yep, that good.
You can get the burger by itself or with a side of fries which are natural, thick cut with a decent dash of salt. Very nice.
YUM ... good freakin burger
Love it!. We absolutely love this place! And being from the land of amazing burgers in California! we were very happy to find this hole in the wall joint :) and at a fantastic price~
Been comming here since the 60's. I finally got around to reviewing one of my ALL TIME FAVORITE places in the world. The Cheese Burger basket, the Cheese Burger Basket, and the Cheese Burger Basket are what I recommend. I guess if you have just eaten a Burger you could get the Caldillo. It is HOT! French Fries are amazing too, but sadly the Ketchup is lousy.... go figure? Any decent place offers Heinz Ketchup as it is widely preferred. This place always has smashed the onions into the patty before cooking them, which is their TM. I even have a style to eat this Burger, which is served sliced in two thank God, where I administer the Chile salsa on the next bite to be taken from the Ketchup bottle-like dispenser. Kinda like the Chicago Italian beef, there actually are methods of eating it!!! Added 7-2012 -Recent reviews from the "Burger Nazi's" might lead one astray. If you want ground steak, blue cheese or swiftlet saliva in your burger, you won't find it here. This is a traditional blue collar burger joint, hence the word "Basket"
Delicious. I went to this place for lunch and arrived around 1115. It was perfect as my friend and I arrived just before the lunch time rush. We sat down and ordered the cheeseburger which you cannot substitute or add anything just remove. The burgers come with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, and mustard. The burgers are cooked one way which is well done and the buns are toasted with a hint of butter. The cheeseburger was delicious as the juiciness would coat the palate and then different textures of the lettuce and onions would compliment the beef. I also had the onion rings which were very crisp and not overly greasy. Great experience here and will go back again.
Original style. This place is small, accepts only cash and serves the generic american cheesburger. That is why this place is so great. The burger is nothing special but at the same time it quenches that burger thirst. The chili cheese fries were a bit of a let down but just add some hot sauce and it comes together. The onion rings were delicious and a great side to the main burger. Also, this place is ridiculously cheap for what they offer. The best way to describe Rosco's is that it is by no means the best burger you have ever had. However, it is the first place you would bring someone who has never tried a burger.
A Throw Back Gem. Outstanding burgers served with old-fashioned, almost 1950s flare. Yes, as one reviewer put it, the place needs an update or two, or ten, but then, go for the burgers...all else is secondary. The chili fries, to be honest, need a little work. Still, I'm going to have a great nap after eating the double cheeseburger. Maybe not outstanding, but certainly better than most.
The Best!. I used to eat here when I worked on Piedras years ago and all I can say is they are way better than Frisco Burger on the east side. The green salsa really makes the difference, but even if you do not add it, the burgers always taste fresh, the beef is tender and not overcooked. These are the sloppiest, yummiest burgers in town. I get back and grab one every chance I get even though it is quite a drive for me.
I love this place! It's a typical hole in the wall place so don't expect anything fancy. However the burgers are always very flavorful and fulfilling and price is very reasonable. Finding a table during lunchtime can be tricky, but I find it's part of what gives Rosco's that local touch. REMEBER TO BRING CASH!!!
1 of the best greasy burgers in town!. Is your tape worm yearning for something naughty? Head North to Rosco's! They grill the onions into the patties which add to the flavor. Check your snobbiness at the door, it's a qauint open grill burger joint. Don't go expecting an organic burger, but definitely go if you're tired of yucky drive thrus and want a savory burger! Don't forget to add some of their green salsa for an extra kick!
Great Burgers. Good quality burgers at an affordable price. They are a little greasy as any good burger should be but overall a very good product. The green chile they put on the tables that you spoon on the burgers really sets them apart from many other establishments in El Paso. Order the burger basket and put plenty of chili on them and you will have a good lunch at a good price.
Maybe the best in El Paso!. I can't say for sure that these are the best burgers in El Paso (even though they were listed as the Best of the Border in 2008: http://www.elpasotimes.com/bob08/ci_10583568) but I know they are inexpensive and better tasting than local fast food places. AND their food is not made by people who seem to hate their jobs. It's fast food, but it's fantastic food, too.
I got a double cheeseburger with everything and fries. All for $6. I watched them make my food, I took it home, and ate it all. I was stuffed and very happy.
I will definitely go back!
This place is amazing! The burger is fantastic, it has a nostalgic and diner feel both the taste and the spot, and quite frankly one of the best burgers I've had in my life. It's juicy and full of flavor without being too big. The chili cheese fries are sub-par even with home made chili the flavor is very basic, but the onion rings are fantastic as a side. I definitely recommend stopping by Rosco's, one of the best burgers in town.
Always wanted to try it because I heard good things about the place. Arrived around lunch time so there was a small for the food. Though the place is clean and the staff is friendly. I really liked the 60's diner feel it has. We had the cheeseburgers, onion rings, and chili cheese fries. The food was good and affordable. Recommend for good burgers and a diner feel.
Old-school and awesome! Sit at the stainless steel bar and watch your food being made right in front of you. Delicious burgers (up to 3 patties...wow), and the chili cheese fries were great. Very attentive staff too. Fast and friendly. Can't wait to go back.
I was taken to this place by good friend of mine that said it had the best burgers in El Paso, Texas. And he was right! The service is awesome. The food is fantastic. I highly recommend that you find your way to Roscoe's Burger Inn.
This place is really a 5 star burger joint. They cook the burgers in front of you. Not only is the food is freshly made, but the quality of the meat fries onion rings are really really good, you can taste it in every bite, and it’s very filling. A+ service! While ur there I drop some change on the floor for you in front of the register for some candy or something...
An El Paso institution, this place has been around forever. My grandfather took me here 35 years ago and it was good to be back. Get a cheeseburger, but the chili wasn’t bad either. It’s gets busy during lunch so be prepared to wait.
One of the best, if not the best BURGER in El Paso. Very tasty and made to order. They come out hot and so do the fries. The buns are toasted, so it give that nice little crunch. Inexpensive menu. There is always a steady flow of customers, but the wait is not too long. You wont go wrong ordering the Cheeseburger Basket. Just remember it is cash only.
Rosco’s earned the title of El Paso’s best burger in town! For under $6, you get a juicy cheeseburger basket with a generous handful of fries. I added bacon to mine. Always so filling and satisfying! It’s diner feel coupled with the counter dining option adds to the nostalgic feeling of a much simpler time. This is an El Paso gem that continues its tradition of delicious food regardless of the times.
The burgers and hot dogs are amazing! You can't beat the prices! I would definitely go again. It's not in the best part of town, but the employees and customers are all good people.
Really great burger! Place closes early, like shortly after lunch time. The server was funny and attentive; food was delicious. Definitely would call this place an El Paso staple.
