Elevation 66

If I could rate the beer only, I would give it 5 stars, as the Ramble Tamble Red is one of my favorite local beers. But our experiences at the restaurant/bar have been either strange or negative in 2022. Our first visit after moving to the area a year ago was great, and it was still CoVID, so it was understandable that things were a little strange as restaurants opened. Food was decent and what you'd expect, beer was good, staff was ok and eventually would warm up to "strangers". But as rules have laxed and conditions improved, our food experiences have steadily gone downhill, and we've now had multiple weird interactions, including an overly incredulous attitude about our ID's (we're in our late 30's, so while flattering, the effort seemed misplaced). Unfortunately, we will stick to filling up our growlers and avoid the overly greasy food, the occasional stomach aches, and the weird vibes.

The beer is pretty good that's about it. The fish and chips smelled like fish! Flat iron steak was undercooked and rare and since it was sliced when I sent it back to get something more cooked they just took each piece and touched it on the grill very unprofessional, and very disappointing. Also every beer you get has residual water in it from when they rinse the glass out right before they give you a beer it seems pretty silly to me! Somebody needs to train them to rinse the glasses ahead of time stack them so they dry and then serve the beer into dry glasses. Extremely disappointing! The flat iron steak I had at Elevation 66 afew years back but did not know how to post reviews yet. I was soooo dissatisfied with not only the quality issue, but the customer service was non existent!!! AND I was there the day I reviewed your restaurant, AND I, as well as the other 3people in my party, Did smell the fishy fish and chips served to the table next to us!. I have been cooking in high end restaurants since 1980 and I know that smell! Everything I said in my review is true when I returned that flat iron steak when I was at your restaurant they acted like I didn't know what I was talking about. So extremely rude and as I said they didn't give me a new stake and refire it they cooked the pieces and gave them to me how lame. NOt AT ALL A FAlSE REVIEW!

The Eat Bay IPA has been consistently good since they opened. Same for the other house-made beers, and the rotating guest beers usually offer good options. I hadn't eaten here in a while and was very happy the kitchen is creating really good food. Over the years, the kitchen staff, chef, and menu have seen numerous changes. The specials - salad, grilled cheese - are solid options, and everything is good with crispy fries and house-made potato chips.
