We looked at Zamato listings for El Centro and liked what we saw of Celia's. It proved to be a great choice. Their deep fried quesadilla was puffy like a Navajo taco. The bean burritos were really tasty too. I liked their chili relleno and the brown sauce on it and my enchilada was excellent. Much smoother than the usual red sauce at other restaurants. We learned that the reason they say they don't do refills on soft drinks is that they give you each a 20 oz bottle. Cost for three of us, with tip, came to $50. I posted photos of the menu with prices. I recommend Celias for anyone unfortunate enough to be overnighting in El Centro where temps were just under 110 degrees in early August.

Hubby and I had a wonderful breakfast here. We have odd food intolerances (gf, night shade free and vegetarian) and easily found options on the menu. We love supporting family businesses and quirky places and Cecilia's ticks those boxes. Cecilia, who started the business with her husband in 1994 is still running the restaurant, and her, along with her twin sister and cousin gave us great service and conversation.

I wanted to go there for a long time and today was finally the day. The twin ladies were really attentive and also the waiter. Food came out really quickly which I loved because we were starving; food was delicious! Would recommend 100%

I had the chili relleno dinner. Everything was quite good. The salsa was a bit more spicy than the average in AZ but it had good flavor so I didn't mind the sniffles. Even the beans and flour tortilla were good. I initially put 4 stars but changed it to 5 when I realized the only negative I could find was that the rice was just average. Service was good. I never even asked for a refill of my iced tea it just magically happened :-)

Best Mexican food restaurant in the Imperial Valley, in my opinion. Hard working staff and very attentive. Try the special quesidilla. Only in the imperial valley does it exist. Don't forget to tip, they deserve it.

Delicious spot for lunch on the way home from San Diego. Cecelia (Chica) our waitress was so friendly, attentive & helpful. The special Quesadilla was an amazing fried dough pocket filled with cheese, just heavenly! I ordered the chiles rellenos, my hubby ordered the machaca with tortilla. Both were extremely flavorful. We ended the meal with Bunuelos, deep fried dough with honey, cinnamon and ice cream on top. Wow!!! Amazing lunch and there were no leftovers, we ate it all. The staff was quick to clear dishes and then clean the tables and vacuum after each customer left. Bathrooms clean & tidy also. Can't wait to go back again. Try Celia's Restaurant, you won't be disappointed.

The carne asada meat needs a lot of seasoning. At least salt and pepper.

This is the best Mexican food I have had in ages. I wish they were in more locations and not just in El Centro. They have the usual choices you find at many Mexican style restaurants, but with a small town feel.

I was very impressed with the staff there on a VERY busy Sunday. Our group of 5 waited only 5 or 10 minutes to be seated. The room was packed but the service and food excellent!

Celia's serves authentic Mexican dishes. Prices are comparable to other restaurants in the area. Staff has been working there for years which gives them knowledge of their returning customers.
