This place is wonderful they have both American and mediteranian food which is delicious. There breakfast is amazing I recommend this place to anyone for lunch breakfast or dinner. Everything is fresh and hot.

Wow!!! This place is soooo GOOD!!! And they serve a huge amount of food per plate! It's actually pretty ridiculous i the best way possible. But who cares! There's enough for dinner and possibly lunch tomorrow! And for a very fair price :-) Go see Vanessa. She's great!

Very good food and our server was really really sweet. I was very impressed I had the Monte Cristo and it was really good and they were good portions for the price paid.
City Bistro is fabulous in two arwas...the food (amazing), and the people! When we drive to El Cajon, and mealtime comes around...our first question is: how close are we to City Bistro? Then we answer ourselves: it doesn't matter, let's go. Just wish they offered their heavenly eggplant stew more often!

Very friendly staff, clean restaurant, great variety of dishes. We had chicken and it was cooked wonderfully, flavorful and juicy. Very reasonably priced as well.
I stumbled upon City Bistro on accident when passing through El Cajon (I live in El Paso, Texas). I guess it was just my day., My football team won, their nemesis lost, and I had the best Mediterranean food in years. Huge portions, great taste. The only disappointment was they had run out of Baklava. Perhaps next time I am in Ca?

It was a pretty good burger, a tiny but pricey but not outrageous, especially if you get the Week day specials it's like $10 for lunch. The service was great, very nice waitress who was highly attentive. Delicious French fries, and the environment was clean which was nice as well. All-in-all, it was a very pleasant lunch experience I would certainly go again.

The chefs know how to do fast food well and there is large portions for breakfast. The place is very clean there are TVs on the walls but it can be a little bit on the noisy side when it's crowded
Great food friendly service. You see a lot of your friends eating at this restaurant. Never disappointed. I personally love their senior omelette made with fresh mushrooms.
