Our Taste

Food was fantastic. Had the set pork BBQ for 2 and it was delicious. The side dishes were great and the atmosphere was lovely and cosey. The lady who served us was really friendly, attentive and fun. The prices were very reasonable for the quantity of food included with the BBQ set meal. I am a big eater but the portions were great. A very enjoyable place to eat, i will be back.

I have to endorse this Korean restaurant with my PhD student status at the University of Edinburgh again. I never imagined in Edinburgh I can have Jab Chae and tteok bok gi with fish cake…and they are so authentic. Because I’m Chinese from the north, their Jab Chae here tastes exactly the same as what I ever had in my childhood…so delicious as if I was back in east Asia right now…. tteok bok gi with fish cake is so rare in Edinburgh’s Korean restaurants as well. You have to order these two here as you won’t find them in other Edinburgh’s Korean restaurants. The spicy squid with veggies taste also great, recommended. The only problem is the kimchi pancake is all burnt and turns bitter all the way..a bit down but overall a good restaurant.

Had an excellent time here getting a meal with friends, we were quite early for dinner so the place was empty except for us. The owner was so kind and friendly, she was hovering over us like a doting mother and explaining how to eat things if we were struggling. Would absolutely recommend if you want to try KBBQ for the first time but you're nervous!

We went for the first time yesterday, and were blown away! There is a good choice on the menu and everything we ordered (for four people) was delicious. The staff are so friendly and helpful, if you are not quite familiar with the Korean BBQ technique. We ordered loads, and the portion sizes are generous, and the food was still only £25 per person. An added treat is being able to BYOB!! Cannot wait to go back :-)
