Miraj Indian Takeaway

Ordered food for 7:15pm for collection. Drove to the other place, which is no longer doing collections. That was my own fault, but they brought the food over anyway - very happy with the server. Food arrived at roughly 7:40, not quite on time (it is a 10 minute drive), but well within reason. The food itself was a bit of a mixed bag. Had the veggie Momo, which was mostly ok, slight curry taste with carrot and kale filling. The dip provided was rather a letdown, tasted like tomato ketchup with a bit of chili. Tandoori roti was good, whole wheat flour, well grilled, and a roti and not a naan (certain restaurants just seem to throw whatever's around into the bag). "Spicy" Pappadoms were - well, pappadoms. I have yet to have bad ones. The veggie North Indian Garlic Chili was quite pleasant at first, veggies nicely cooked but with a bit of bite left, more on the garlic side than the chili - or so I thought, until I hit the chili and it hit me back. Brought some tears to my eyes, and I consider myself rather well acquainted with spicy food. Dear cook, if you happen to read this, I most certainly agree that the vegetables in a curry should not be pureed so that there is some variety to it, but please dice the chili up and mix it.

Fantastic friendly Indian takeaway and great value for money too. I have never had a bad meal from them and they constantly throw little extras in free of charge......Last night free poppadoms!. Far nicer food than the other Indian establishment up the road and a fraction of the price too!. The chilli garlic chicken is outstanding!....Wouldn’t go anywhere else!
