Soul Sushi

A chic and inviting atmosphere, although I got my sushi to take away! Traditional Japanese décor, dimmed lighting, and soothing music. I tried the freshly-made salmon sushi, which was delicious! This included Nigiri (sliced fish on top of small beds of rice) and Sashimi (thinly sliced fish served without rice). Tasty dorayaki too, with anko filling.

We had been looking at a lot of Japanese cuisine around Edinburgh and we chose Soul Sushi after seeing some amazing options on their menu. We decided to order from there through Deliveroo, everything arrived, the prawn Hosomaki didn't survive the journey but everything else was great. We ordered Pumpkin Katsu Curry and Chicken Katsu Curry, both arrived hot and were super tasty! Great portion sizes too! We ordered the Buttersquash Rolls, Asparagus Nigiri, Salmon box and Prawn Hasomaki. They tasted great and we felt really healthy and full afterwards. Would highly recommend!

Small independent sushi restaurant in the bustling Southside area serving a range of Japanese cuisine at very generous prices. We had a portion of vegetable gyozas that were freshly made, crispy and full of topping. The dipping sauce was full of flavour. I had teriyaki chicken which for under £8 was terrific value. It was packed with tender chicken, rice, lightly pickled onions and pea shoots. Maybe could have done with a little more teriyaki dressing. My partner had katsu chicken which was suitably crispy and delicious. They don't serve alcohol but have a range of kombuchas and soft drinks, as well as pre-made takeaway options.
