Had dinner here the night before flying from Edinburgh. The staff offered to keep our flight cases behind the bar which was a really nice touch. Mussels and haggis bon bon were nice for me and my partner and her mums venison dishes looked great. Good atmosphere and staff. Would go again!

Best service I've experienced in a bar in a long time. Staff are so lovely and actually seem like they appreciate your custom. Didn't have drinks as it was a pretty rough Sunday but the food was brilliant. We both had the venison roast which was delicious. Can't wait to visit again, perhaps on a Friday or Saturday evening.

I've been twice for Sunday Roast and loved it both times. The venison is incredible. I love the addition of Kale to the plate, the small amount of greens gave me the illusion I was being healthy. The staff is wonderful as well. Friendly, attentive and eager to ensure you have a great time. I'm a HUGE fan.

Brilliant gastropub with history and superb food. Best haggis ever. Mussels amazing. Lamb was melt in the mouth. Great beer and wine selection.

Only in Edinburgh for a day and this pub was worth stopping at. Lovely setting by the waterfront and a nice way to end the day at the city. From the specials of the day, the starter of fish cakes were fresh and tasty, venison with mashed potatoes was excellent. From the main menu the sea food was cooked perfectly, salt cod, salmon and king prawns with a moreish aioli. Topped off with sticky toffee pudding…delicious! Service was warm, welcoming and friendly. Definitely recommend!

Popped for a beer and ended up staying for dinner. Friendly manager and waiter. Had 2 entrees- pheasant breast with watermelon and tomato and caper salsa, small serve of Mussels in creamy wine sauce with bread which was plenty. Delicious food.

A nice pub with great interior design and good food. Loved especially the mussels. Perfect for a beer break on a walk in Leith.

Nice Pub in Leith of Edinburgh! Small menu but enough choice though. A lot of atmosphere and cozy inside. The service was again amazing like everywhere in Schotland. The food was very nice and good location if you stay in this alternative and authentic neighbourhood. Difficul to find parking, but very accesible by public transport

Two of us shared haggis spring rolls w butternut ketchup (life-changingly good!), a fish curry & the fish & chips. Really, really lovely pub food. The fish curry had hake pieces in it & was topped with a crispy sea bass fillet, naan & raita. The deep fried haddock in beer batter was fresh & perfectly cooked through. Chips were good & tartare was nicely creamy & sour. Only small criticism was the peas could have been mushy peas instead of blanched. If I was in Edinburgh any longer, I would have eaten here again. Staff are very welcoming too.

A quick stop from the look around with with Friends and a birthday celebrant. It was filled up but lucky to get a last spot 😃 The service was quick, friendly and courteous. We enjoyed a meal of burgers 🍔, steak and fries 🍟 and also a bowl of mussels with a bottle of wine. The front manager went above to provide a lone cake and candle 🕯 for the celebrant 😃 It was a great stop. Good for money and a get together with friends. Would def visit again... Thanks guys 👍
