One of the best places on the island! Great service, top notch tacos and the best nachos on the planet!
I love these guys and their food!! It's exceptional! Everything is made from scratch, even the tortillas and totally gluten free. For those who love gluten don't let this deter you, it just happens that all their mouth watering offerings are made with ingredients that don't include wheat. It's funky, it's sweet and seriously worth a visit!! And another and another and....
From scratch everything. This place is flat out fantastic. Like a bad ass SoCal Taco truck moved indoor. Get your cocktail, eat your tacos, and enjoy the perfectness.
The tacos at Back Yard are exceptional and cooked with love! The owners, Evan and [Zarid??] are always behind the counter, working and creating a wonderful unique environment. Very fun, lively, and DELICIOUS. I got the fish tacos, which had a gorgeous red cabbage slaw on it with notes of vanilla! The short rib and chicken were both also fantastic. Thank you [Barro] and [Zarid?] for a surprisingly lovely after-paddle meal!
this place is some serious SPECIAL. nothing like it on the island and much needed - delicious and fresh food, all made to order. the homemade corn tortillas were incredible, as was all the fillings and toppings! service was super friendly and the space is reminiscent of being somewhere else altogether - the vibe is super mellow and very welcoming. so many options and a nice, strong margarita. already plotting my next visit -- i will find a way to "detour" to edgartown a lot more than i would otherwise! :D
BEST tacos on island! And the only place that hand makes their tortillas DAILY. They so so fresh and delicious. The tacos are fantastic and everything here is GLUTEN FREE, plus they have vegetarian and vegan options, as well as dairy free. My two favorite tacos are the eggplant and the falafel, SO tasty. This place gets packed in the summer, so make sure to head in early or just be prepared to wait - the tacos are worth the wait! It's a small place too, fun to be in, good music, and they do have some outdoor space in front and in the back!
Great tacos! Homemade tasty chips and corn tortillas plus that margarita is tasty too!. The chicken had great flavor I felt it had a hint of curry mix but wow, flavorful. No real place to sit but it turns around fast. A must have
This is by far the best place on the island to buy a taco. Amazing service, food freshly cooked after order, and you get a lot of value for your dollar in this day and age. If you’re in OB or on MV in general, this should be incorporated into your plan

Got in late needed a quick bite and drink. Here for a weekend wedding. Got a eggplant taco and falafel taco with a swamp margarita(super spicy). Off da chain. Super friendly staff, I will be back a couple of times before I leave.
I had a falafel taco, and it was delicious. The guacamole was also delicious. If you like tacos this is your spot.

Pretty simple review: best tacos I’ve ever had. The tortilla is usually just a boring vehicle for what is inside but their handmade tortillas were packed with flavor. Pulled pork tacos were insane. Falafel tacos were moist, which is hard to do.
This is not a sit down restaurant. It’s a joint to get a taco made by two brothers while dad dances to samba and makes your margarita. It’s pretty awesome.
Pleasantly surprised with this taco spot. Nyc prices, like anything around here. The cauliflower tacos were my favorite, tasted like they used some indian spices. Chicken and falafel tacos are good as well. They also have a delicious spicy sauce.
Margaritas are strong and large so it’s worth the money. Strawberry doesn’t taste like strawberry so don’t spend the extra $2.
Seating in the back and some in the front. They are also open earlier than 5pm (at least on friday) or maybe they do it based on how crowded the area is.
These are definitely authentic tacos, and not something you’d expect for the area. But they are definitely worth for a trip out of the way!
My girls and I had a wonderful time this evening at Backyard Taco. The tacos were the best taco’s by far, we ever had. The owner was very personable and fun. Oh and the margaritas were delicious too!! Can’t wait to come back!
Delicious tacos and friendly staff in an informal setting. There's something here for everyone, carnivores and vegetarians alike. The fish tacos were particularly tasty, and the homemade hot sauce is a must-try (if you can handle it).
This is the place to relax after work, good tacos, margaritas and mezcal is my go two here! The short rib and steak tacos are the best. There's some seating inside--very cozy and outside seating.
The beef tacos were ridiculously good! We were in MV Fri-Mon and I managed to eat them twice! A magical place for people like me who eat gluten-free! The corn tortillas for the tacos were so fluffy and obviously made with love. Everything we had was great - fish tacos, mushroom tacos, chips and guac- yum! Enjoyed sitting out back and everyone was super nice too!
