Review Leon Nixon Catering - Edenton

Was in town on vacation and had experienced Leon Nixon catering back home for some events. Really wanted to try it at their home. Only open for buffet lunch on Thursday and Sunday. We went on Thursday. The food was excellent, they had BBQ, fried chicken, baked chicken, ribs, and fried fish for proteins. For sides, they had salad, mashed potatoes, gravy, yams, etc. The yams were the star of the day...just incredible. For dessert, they had assorted cakes and pies. The atmosphere is odd, but the food was really good and plentiful. Really nice people working there and the other patrons were welcoming as well. Clearly this is a local favorite and we were not locals...they made us feel right at home. Don't miss this if you are in town!

It was the first time we ate the buffet on Sunday and it was so good. The people were so friendly. Can't wait to go back.

The only reason we're exploring Mars is because we've already discovered the finest peminto cheese on this planet. Thank you, Nixon's.

My husband and I tasted the honey in our tea and it was absolutely delicious and the BEST! We only used the honey and no sugar. We are hooked. Thank you. God bless you for your continued success.

This place has the best Eastern style BBQ of anywhere I have ever eaten. It's perfect. No fat. No mystery chunks. Nice lean tasty pieces of pork with a perfect sauce.

Amazing sea food buffet was the bes tasting sea food we had the whole week. Buffet was very affordable and included soft shell crabs, frog legs, scallops, and more, great salads and cakes. Staff was very friendly and checked on us to refill drinks. Wish they had been open more than only a few days a week. We would have gone back if we could.

Usually has a Wonderful Buffet and you can't go wrong with the food but I do think that the virus has limited some of the variety that they are now able to set out but they are open Thursday and Sunday afternoons so we tried to support our local businesses we encourage you to do the same

Makes great BBQ sandwiches. We’re hooked on it. Some of the best BBQ I’ve ever eaten. We buy it at the Food Lion near our house on Old Wake Forest Rd in Raleigh. 🇱🇷🇱🇷

This is the Best Catering Service with amazing BBQ AND FRIED CHICKEN AND FISH AND SHRIMP EVER.The owner treats everyone like family.Lots of trailers to go wherever needed. Great parties and service every single time. EVEN fund raiser he will do.

Had a meeting at Nixons and the BBQ, chicken and shrimp was geat.

The show was wonderful. The singing and acting was superb! Good was wonderful, especially the baked chicken. Please offer for your Sunday buffers as well!

It was our first time and loved the food. Chicken, BBC pork, shrimp and oysters on buffet. Large selection of veggies, salad bar and it was hard to make a decision with all the cakes and pies. We hard a large crowd and table service was great.

Awesome Awesome Awesome !!! Hebert and Debbie did an outstanding job on our rehearsal dinner Friday night. Prime rib,scallops,oysters,shrimp baked potatoes,slaw,toss salad. Food served on time � Could not have been any better. Perfect in every way. They were so easy to work with. So accommodating and lots of smiles.Thanks again !Michael and Robin.

GOOD food but a little over priced for seniors . If they gave a senior discount they would get another star from me .

Nixons have good food and the price for buffet is reasonable. I just think they should open more than two days a week.
