Review Waterside Restaurant - Eatonton

Great condition. Great layout. Bunkers don't drain well otherwise this course would be a 5 star.

Great golf course, great restaurant, very friendly staff!

Had a great weekend here for Member Guest Tournament. First class all the way. Incredible open bar for three straight days. I don't know how we got golfing in between drinking. Thanks Cuscowilla staff.

Didn't play golf here but booked a vacation rental for Thanksgiving week with my family. Quality spaces, quality service. We felt comfortable and appreciated for being there. Great vacation spot or second home (if you can afford it).

I played here on 6-24-2018 in a foursome with 3 of my good friends. My friend lives on the grounds and is a member. The course was in fantastic shape for middle of summer, greens were super fast and fairways were trimmed and in perfect shape. Course is very challenging and has a lot of water hazards and just a top 10 course in the states.

One of the best kept secrets. This location always put me in the mindset of Florida. Extremely nice!! You have to get in contact with a private owner to stay at this location. VRBO has been our point of contact. You have to pay at pool only bad thing I would say. Should be free to access if you stay here over night.

We had a rental cottage in Cuscowilla. For any of you that know anything about that community, you know that the owners abandoned rental property owners like us by shutting down their management and rental service because it was 'not profitable'. This after pushing this service during the sales pitch as the main reason our investment was going to be profitable and worthwhile. The leadership of the investment and the operating partners are clueless and feckless. At the same time, they also began to severely limit access to the golf course for guests of rental property owners, effectively destroying the investment made by over 70 property owners and diminishing the value of the properties by 40-50%. Marketing your property to others was at lower nightly rates and unprofitable if at all. Without access to the golf course at reasonable or ultimately unreasonable rates for tee times, particularly during Masters Week, the properties were basically worth nothing from a rental standpoint. And most of us who had property saw 35-40% of our annual profit result from the 10 day Masters window. Another really dumb decision they made was to demolish the building housing the clubhouse, pro shop and grill overlooking the 14th green. They took one of the most outstanding elements of the community infrastructure and got rid of it because it was 'not profitable'. This despite the functionality of the elements within the structure being stellar, welcoming and integral to the overall experience. From the outside staff greeting and valeting your car, to the ease of access to the pro shop, to the way you connected immediately to the grill, the design and function of this building was an important and vital element to the community and golf course experience. The veranda was a delightful place to view the golf course while enjoying a post round meal or drink with friends and/or your golf group. The only reason I heard justifying this decision was that there was mold in the basement, and the building could not be remediated or the cost benefit in doing so was prohibitive. Well, not sure where the cost actually was for this effort but one has to ask, would the cost of remediating and waterproofing exceed the cost of replacing the asset? As in a $1.5-2.0 million dollar asset? One has to wonder about that. But again, the owners and their advisors appear to have no reasonable clue about how to approach managing a real estate project. They have now assessed owners and club members for their rework of the Waterside restaurant building and pool area - a cost that has been estimated at in excess of $4 million. Brilliant. Feel free to move here if you like. But don't count on thoughtful or concerned leadership making decisions on your behalf.

This is place is top notch! If you are looking for the best place to stay on Lake Oconee, Cuscowilla is the place for you! The staff is friendly and polite. Check-in and Check-out is almost effortless. This place really goes above and beyond to make the entire process a relaxing stay free. We stayed for a get-away weekend and it was like a home away from home. There are many things to do while you stay here even if your primary reason for staying isn't just golfing. I will definitely be returning to Cuscowilla for many more trips to come. It is absolutely beautiful with a great lake view. Thanks Cuscowilla for such a great experience!
