Friendly staff and no-frills atmosphere. We were too lazy to feast on crabs (very good price!), so we opted for crab cakes...we all loved it! Crab cake sandwich was $12 and was worth every bite of it...it was a very good taste of summer time in Maryland🦀. We tried their deviled eggs with chunks of crab meats in it...and it was very good, too! It was a pleasant surprise when I paid using credit card, you pay whatever the amount is without the expectation or line item for tip during the point-of-sale (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐‼️)...so no guilt tripping that could leave a bad taste in your mouth since this is a to-go establishment!
This is the right place for you if you're craving for the best local crabs in town. No wonder they have this powerful sign...

We were headed back from OC and decided to stop in here and grab uncooked jumbo crab cakes. You can’t miss the building, bring a small cooler if you are traveling far.
We ended up buying 6 jumbo crab cakes, crab seasoning, cream of crab soup, and spicy crab soup. They packed everything on ice for us. We cooked the crab cakes that evening and they were excellent and we wished we had bought more. The soup was frozen and eaten the next day along with another crab cake.
I wish I lived closer to the crab shack!
Crab shack is a roadside gem. Whenever we travel to the eastern shore we call in orders for pickup on our return. The crabs are always larger than expected, seasoned perfectly, and they deliver the crabs directly to the trunk (or bed) of your vehicle. If you try them, you'll like them.
Make sure u got everything you ordered before pulling off because I didn't have my 8 ears if corn I paid for! Other than that the #1 males half bushel was everything well worth it. Went down Easton MD for a funeral but always when coming across the bridge from Baltimore we stop here on our way back home to Baltimore. Everyone loves the crabs . Seasoning just right big meaty.... Just wish I would of got my good corn 😊 hopefully they read this post and I get it next visit! I visited 8/25/23
The best u turn you’ll ever make as advertised. So I’m leaving crisfield from crab n cruise and I ride pst and view the sign so I made a u turn and believe me I wasn’t disappointed. Now truth be told crab place crabs were way bigger and tastier but the crab cake sandwich my wife got us was amazing melt in your mouth full of flavor. The crabs were ok just not as big as I had just had. You won’t be disappointed though if you make that u turn.
Picked up a dozen steamed crabs and the crab deviled eggs. My friends couldn't get enough of the eggs and while there was a pretty big range in the size of the crabs, no one was disappointed. Would definitely do it again!
Great prices, Fast & friendly service, and good crabs! I drove from Odenton where my local seafood stop was charging $399 for a bushel of #1s — wayyy too much. The crab shack was about an hour away and just $218 for a bushel of #1s steamed and ready to go! Totally worth the drive and I’d gladly do it again to save hundreds of dollars for really good crabs.
The sign boasted "It will be the best U turn you ever made" and I decided to make the U turn and try the crabs. The place is always jammed packed. I called ahead to cut down on wait time. I was on hold for 10 minutes before someone took my order. I expected the wait because it is always crowded. Order was brought to the car (awesome customer service). Crabs were cooked correctly and seasoned just right. The size and weight of crabs was on point for Number One Males. I have been raving about the Crab Shack! I am one happy customer.
They are the best!!! Prices are excellent and the crabs are Great. We run over to the shore every 2-3 weeks and it's a ritual to get crabs every time. 👍
Excellent jumbo lump crab cakes - the crabby deviled eggs are to die for. Go when ever we can and it’s open. They run out so if you have your heart set on something call ahead. They will cook to order too so call in your order and skip the wait. Highly recommend.
It was definitely worth the U-turn to grab that first crab cake of the season. The only reason there is a star missing from my rating is the price was just a little up there but that's how crabs go, sometimes there more expensive than other times. All in all friendly service and a great crab cake sandwich. Will recommend.
Staff was knowledgeable and courteous. Crab shack will offer to clean your live soft shells or package them up for transport. I ordered soft shells and hard shell blueies and transported them from Maryland to Philadelphia in the spring and they arrived still cold and ready to cook. They have a great selection of spices, tools to eat crab, shirts, and frozen goods. Crabs are sourced locally so they arrive fresh and are sold fresh. If you've always passed this place on route 50 and wondered, do yourself a favor and take a break from the driving and stop in. Support these local businesses. Highly recommend ordering a day before if you want to be assured you get what is offered. Male crabs go early because they're bigger so if you want a bushel of male crabs, order the day before so they'll have them ready for you. The site suggests calling for pre orders, and it's stressed in-store... Don't disappoint yourself

Please believe this crab shack is serving some of the best crabs I've ever had. The meat was sweet, fresh and simply delicious. Don't forget the corn, it was fantastic as well.
First time visitor and got the regular crab sandwich and corn on the corn and big bag of ole bay cheese puffs. At first glance, that cute little sandwich looks too small but boy, it's cooked to perfection and ends up being the perfect portion! Crispy on the outside, and soft and delicious in the inside. Great job, Crab Shack! You got a great thing going and great and friendly staff. I appreciate y'all and glad I got to try it during my visit to the East Shore. I'd highly recommend this place for the best dang crabby patty I've had. Cheers y'all!
Our go to crab shack. Fast service, friendly staff, busy spot so you know the product turns over quickly, and good stock. Steamed Crabs by the dozen with or without corn ($1 per ear) or shrimp. Lots of other seafood options as well.

These guys are great. The service is a blend of quick and friendly. Crabs and shrimp were well seasoned, and as a local, I always go here for price, selection, and convenience.
