We came for the music. Forgot to take pictures of our double bourbon burger, but it really was good! Great place for an outside band. Haven’t been there yet for an inside band, but definitely plan on returning! Wait, staff was great! And if you have not seen the band DNA yet, I recommend them!

Stopped on a Saturday afternoon about 1:30, we sat at the bar since it was not too busy. Our bartender/server Staci greeted us promptly & asked if we wanted a drink. I order an IPA on tap. Served cold and was refreshing. My better half had a diet soda.
We started with an order of wings which were pretty good size, hot flavorful & crispy. Order came out steaming hot. They were cooked perfectly, served hot & were delicious. We also learned on Thursdays between 5-9 wings are half price. BONUS!
We ordered the chicken cutlet sandwich. It was moist & tender & came with fried potato chips. I had the Double Barrel Burger which had 2 - 1/2 lb burgers, bacon, mushrooms, & I opted for Swiss cheese. I upgraded to cheese & gravy fries. The burger was huge! It was cooked medium rare and was very tasty.
We were pleasantly surprised with ever facet of our afternoon lunch. Awesome service, cold beer, delicious wings & great sandwiches.
We will definitely be back. Next time with the kids and grandkids. Did I mention it is roomy and has numerous tv's and a kids menu.
You are missing out if you don't stop here. Highly recommended.
1836 is a great place to watch some awesome live music anything from easy listening, pop rock and hard rock. Every band that plays there has been great. My wife have been going every Saturday night for the past year and still look forward to it. The staff is on top of everything fast courteous and attentive. Sky is amazing Chi is fantastic and Paula is so awesome. If you are looking for a good band and a good time with some amazingly good food 1836 sallon is your place.
This is a great place to spend some time and catch a game. Tons of TV’s and a sweet pool table/ dart board area. Live bands that are actually talented is refreshing for this area. The beer is always flowing as are the lighthearted vibe that’s usually there. Solid beer selection that changes enough to keep variety while always having the staples. Get one of the cheese steaks if you are hungry. You have to be hungry cause it’s massive! The variety of different dinner specials that have a quality beyond what you’d expect from a saloon. You can get a real meal and enjoy the band in the sweet outdoor area! Get there on a Saturday and have all these options at once. The bartenders are prompt and fun on the evenings and have some flavor on the day shifts too!

This is the reason we came to East Stroudsburg. To find the real cornerstones of community. This "Bar and Grill" is exactly the kind of place where you can enjoy the "Cheers" experience. The customers treat strangers like family. The Bar has whatever you want at reasonable prices and the food is delicious. It's not a 'dining' spot it IS a get recharged and relaxed among friends you haven't met yet kind of place. Pool tables and gaming are there to entertain if you want to play. Recommend for adults who want to meet good people happy to please and meet you.
We stopped in while celebrating our 50th. Wedding anniversary at Paradise Stream where we spent our honeymoon in 1972. Fabulous food, atmosphere and staff. I was truly impressed by the tribute wall honoring all of the fine men and women whose dedication and sacrifices have kept us all free and safe over the years! A class act! Best little spot around. Phil has done this place proud and it's our favorite place in town. Good drinks, good food and always a great atmosphere. Live bands all the time, open air and indoor seating and pool and darts. Great hangout place.

Great dive bar with awesome food. Wings are a must, burgers are the best in the world!!! This is a bar with great food. Lots of locals hang here but are friendly, pretentious needy types this is NOT for you. Blue collar person's kind of bar.

A really nice prize inside,bigger than you think. Sits on the corner of a fairly busy intersection. Chi? Was amazing. Really attentive. This place has got darts and pool. Nice vibe. Good for grandparents and kids alike highly recommend for the local place. We are camping near otter lake and this is fairly close. Happy hour was dollar off draft drinks. Got to try a few new beers as well as the conventional PBR. We would come here again. Got a live singer doing his best to entertain us. Fairly decent night. Thank you. Swole.

Without disparaging any of the the near by eateries to 1836, I would say skip everywhere else and go here- especially if you are a tourist. It has a cool military veteran vibe, the food is great, the specials are interesting and good. Ownership invests in live music for entertainment. Also, it is a good place to sit at the bar and watch football. Customers are all generally nice.
