Review Raga Indian Restaurant - East Setauket

Had a pleasant experience at Raga tonight dining in instead of our usual takeout. The food was fresh and delicious, and the service, as usual, was great. The staff's constant smiles added to the positive atmosphere.

Best Vibe.. Loved the food and service..Not crowded.. parking space available.. price is good..

The food was delicious and staff wonderfully kind and gracious. I can't wait for my next visit and the chance to explore more items from their menu.

The food at Raga is out of this world. The flavors in each dish are outstanding. My husband and I have made a reservation after the covid restrictions have lifted and it was completely worth it. The service was great and the food was excellent.if ever in the area we will definitely be dining in again.

Tasty!! Really authentic flavors, I think. We tried the paneer Makhani and saag paneer and chicken vindaloo and a goat Rogan josh. We arrived early and they felt bad and I got a mango lassi!

New to the area and was looking to satisfy my “desi” tooth. Service was friendly, quick and efficient and the food was very good; it did hit the spot but I can’t give it 5 stars as it was supposed to be spicy but was anything but. Regardless, taste and flavors were more than satisfying and I’ll be sure to return again.

Food is absolutely delicious!!! Highly recommend the vegetable samosas, tandoori chicken, chicken tikka masala and chana saag. Relaxing atmosphere and great service.

The food is exceptional! Everything I have eaten here has been fantastic. The food is so fresh and flavorful and perfect for everyone. They cater to all tastes and can turn up the heat if you are so bold. The staff is friendly and atmosphere is lovely. I highly recommend Raga!

There are always outliers, and everyone deserves a pass from time to time. Tonight is not that exception. I showed up at 6:00pm and ordered food for take out (Mango Chicken, Sag Paneer, Raga Sampler, Lasani Gobi, and Onion Nan). The owner took my order and said that it would take about 45 minutes to prepare, as they were busy. And indeed, there was a constant flow of customers picking up food to go, as well as a dozen or so patrons in the dining room. I was in no hurry, and so took a seat at the counter and occupied the time with my cellphone. At 6:45, I flagged the waiter down (they really were busy) and paid the bill, so that I could depart as soon as the food was ready. Some unfortunate patron who called his order in, showed up only to be told that his order had only just been put in, and that he was going to have to wait some time before it would be ready. (Ouch!- But they *really* were busy.). At 7:00, I flagged someone down again, to ask the status of my order. They did not know. My question was repeated at 7:15- and again, they had no idea. Finally, at 7:30 - 90 minutes after placing my order - they brought it out. I asked the waiter what the reason for delay was, and he said that the person who usually packs the orders was in India, and the replacement was not as fast. "That doesn't account for a 45-minute delay," I said, and continued, "The couple that came in with me (motioning to the table where they sat) ordered, ate, left, and the table is even cleared off." I asked again what the reason was for the delay. The waiter got the owner, who said that the reason was that some things take longer to prepare. Since I didn't order anything that should fit that reason, I said that it had taken twice as long as expected to have the order ready. Now, I can be patient with a lost order.- I can be patient with a busy night of orders.- I can be patient with an understaffed crew in the kitchen. I can patiently abide all of that, and more. However, the owner replied to me that I was lying, and that I had not been told anything about how long the order would take. *That* does not get a pass. I have been a long-time customer of Raga- even from when it used to be India House in Montrose. The food is always delicious, but I no longer trust the owner.- He lies.

Great palace for Indian take out in Croton-On-Hudson bar none ... Enjoy!!

The customer service was exceptional (visited 8/28/22 - Saturday, normal dinner hrs). • Food was cooked quickly • Entrees were rotated in soon after the appetizers were finished • Barely dirty plates frequently exchanged for clean ones • Staff stopped by multiple times to refill water

A really great Indian cuisine restaurant. The owner, chef, and entire staff make this a wonderful place for, again, great food.

It was nice to find this place, for good Indian food.
