We took our daughter here to celebrate her 18th birthday (per her request). It wasn't too particularly busy, and we were able to get a booth right away.
Overall I was pleased with the atmosphere of the restaurant (being a Japanese steak house). The restaurant was very clean, and the same can be said of our table as well.
I didn't really care for the little mini salad that they served prior to our entree, the cucumber tasted really bitter (like soap). The soup however was perfect.
I ordered a sushi roll, and would say it was an 8/10 as far as quality is concerned.
I ordered the seafood combo plate (lobster/scallops/shrimp), and would taste it about an 8/10 as well. The fried rice was a 7/10 that was served with the meal. I think the quality of the grilled seafood was fairly good, and the quality of the seafood itself was an 8/10.
I mentioned to the server that it we were celebrating our daughters birthday, so he brought out a tempura fried ice cream with candles and sang happy birthday to her.
It was a great experience overall, and would definitely return again in the near future.
This place was super welcoming. My husband and I are vegan and came here with my side of the family. they were able to answer all of our questions and give us salad, noodles, rice, so many veggies and tofu to eat at the grill. Our chef was really nice and funny and made sure I knew what we’d be able to eat. I know they have other vegan items but we were so full after this we had some to take home too.
Amazing experience with the hibachi chef he was entertaining, funny and personable. The seafood hibachi combo was delicious. Shrimp, lobster and scallops with fried rice and noodles. The tempura jalapeño poppers is one those dishes that you will always remember and recommend to everyone!!! You have to try them they were soooo good!!! Server was very attentive and friendly!!! Amazing place you have to try!!!
Sitting in the middle of a tornado warning I’d like to share my experience at the blue Fin in Howell. The tornado is only a few miles away and now gone.
Dany , our waiter and Vendi, our chef were outstanding. Vendi’s skill and humor surpassed other Japanese Hibachi restaurants in this part of MICHIGAN. My scallops, shrimp and lobster was absolutely delicious. The flavoring of the foods were natural and not over spiced like other similar establishments. Dany was attentive to help my wife and I celebrate our wedding anniversary with the cutest blow up hats that added to our festivities. Vendi’s personality, skill as a true chef and thoughtfulness added to our families fun. The fried rice, noodles, seafood and steaks were spot on in deliciousness and the price was comparable to other like places. This Howell location is shear excellent. You will not go wrong eating here! A dining pleasure! Now back to watching the weather this early morning!
I always love coming here and have been coming for many years. We never get hibachi, always sushi for us! I am sad they don't have the tako salad anymore, I do enjoy that at any place I go. But I do love the sushi and that it is always super fresh! It takes some time to come out, but it's always so fresh! It's our favorite place to go and pretty much the only one we go to for sushi, just need some new rolls as we've tried them all and then some.
Absolutely loved this place. Food was great. Serving sizes on par for this kind of restaurant. Our chef was outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed the others we dined with. The whole meal was just fabulous 👌
This place is great, the staff was very nice and helped us get seated pretty quickly at a booth and not a hibachi table. They have very great tasting and authentic sushi and ramen here. The hibachi looked very good and the cooks looked very professional. I would definitely recommend this place over somewhere with a crazy wait time and price in Brighton
Love this place. So quick. Service is great they are so nice. The sushi is always fresh, we always have a relaxing and yummy dinner here!
Very good food. I’m an Asian, so I know that they did a good job. My food was delicious. There’s too many white people out here that’s the problem.
The atmosphere is great, love the setting. I ate kind of early and the avocado from my sushi in my Bento Box was not fresh at all(brownish)! Everything else was amazing and I did love the jalapeño poppers.
