Review Blu On The Water - East Greenwich

Let me start by saying, the location is beautiful! I had a reservation and was a bit early but let us be seated right away. My waitress Riley C. was so patient and kind to us. She kept checking up on us to see how we were doing/enjoying the food. The food was very good 10/10. Will be coming back, especially because of an amazing customer service experience we had!

Got in early for the 20% off lobster roll. It wasn’t bad at all. What was over the top fabulous was our waitress, Teresa. We never had to wait for anything. I will be going back for lunch soon.

Fantastic experience at this establishment!! Wonderful food, great service and live music....paired with great weather,couldn't ask for a better vibe! Highly recommended!

If you wish to get a table, make a reservation! The wait-time for 2 people on the Friday I visited exceeded 2 hours; however, BLU has 3 outdoor bars and 1 indoor one so I was able to quickly find a spot at the outdoor bar to the right. The food is delicious and a great spot to to grab some Rhode Island cuisine. The stuffies were huge!!! Note: the parking situation is valet only. I recommend parking off site and walking a few blocks.

Blu On The Water in East Greenwich is an excellent seafood restaurant with a great menu that includes some very unique and tasty dishes that you can’t find anywhere else in the area. We went for a late lunch and were promptly seated on the outside deck per our request. We started with a watermelon sangria, crisp, light and sweet. This was followed by a half dozen local oysters that were served on a bed of ice with all the traditional accompaniments. We also got the fruta picante which included watermelon, mango and cucumber lightly seasoned with tajin. The tanjin provided a unique and different flavor experience to the cucumber and fruit. The drinks and appetizers were superb and cleansed our palettes for the next course, lobster meat tacos. This dish was absolutely delicious. The meal included two tacos which was perfect since we shared everything. The tacos included a mango salsa and avocado blend that was both tasty and subtle which allowed the lobster flavor to break loose. This was followed by a house salad and the Crispy Shrimp Boa Buns. Again we were pleasantly surprised with an unexpected mix of crispy shrimp, sweet boa bun that also had a crunch, and more blend involving avocado and coleslaw and other delicious flavors. We capped off this exquisite lunch with the key lime pie, perfectly sized for sharing and slightly sweet with a tart flavor. I highly recommend this restaurant for 5 star dining in a delightful water view marina setting. Well done!

The servers were wonderful and very knowledgeable about the menu. We sat at a table for 2, water's edge, on the deck. Lovely warm weather and Blu was very busy! Unfortunately, the food was not served hot, but rather only warm, so it cooled off very quickly and was cold before we finished eating. I tried their Crispy Shrimp Bao Buns - other than not being hot, they were very tasty!

We had an amazing experience at Blu a few weeks back. The temperature changed quickly on us as we got there. We wanted to be under the tent as they were having a show but it got so cold that we had to be moved inside. Our waitress was very kind and respectfully obliged to our request to find us a table in. The atmosphere was pleasant and fun. We enjoyed our foods, the drinks and will be back during summer to be on the outside by the water. Very beautiful place.

This is a great seasonal summer restaurant . It’s located in the heart of East Greenwich , and is one of the best summer entertainment locations in the area. They have great food , and amazing dock side patio seating , outside bars , live entertainment , valet available , and a great staff . They also have boat access , so you can also use their dock to pull up on your boat and get food to go . Entertainment , well they usually get the best bands weekly to perform there . Nightlife on a weekend is amazing here , people can come low key off the boat , or you can dress to impress. They are pet friendly , I see dogs their all the time . But I imagine your pet had to be well behaved. It’s gets really crowded , so I’d recommend if your eating to always make a reservation well in advance. This is probably one of my fave places to go in the summer . If you haven’t been you should check it out . If your from the area , most likely you have been here lol.

We have just had an amazing experience. The customer service was outstanding (kudos to Adrianna!), and the lobster roll was simply delicious. Best red sangria ever!!

Great seasonal menu. They close mid Fall to early spring but fabulous when they're open. Live music every night.

Food pricey. Mojito was not sweet, no sugar. Not very strong. Nice water view.

The views and food was delicious. Great atmosphere and energy. This restaurant was pack and very busy. The packed house didn’t delay our drinks and meal 🥘 times. Fish and chips- delicious BBQ bacon 🥓 cheeseburger 🍔- good Buffalo 🦬 chicken 🐔 wrap- great sandwich Overall great 👍🏿 location.

The food was delicious and the service was great. Victor was attentive and made delectable drinks! Will definitely come back again.

I celebrated a friend’s birthday at Blu On The Water. The harbor view was perfect, and the food was really good. I had one of the lobster rolls, a must try. I’d definitely recommend going here for a nice night out.

Worse meal I've ever had in my life. Ordered the baked shrimp app. Must of not been microwaved long enough because it was horrible. No big deal at that point. Service was good. We proceed to order shrimp cocktail and a dozen clams on the half shell. Shrimp was junk. Clams were just opened not shucked. I send them back we ate 2 or 3. I also order a scallop salad but the scallops were hockey pucked, soaked in dressing, sent that back too. They bring me out raw scallops that were spoiled and 6 clams. I asked if the cooks are new??? The manager wouldn't even come speak to us. The waiter looked frazzled as if the cooks were yelling at him. He said he could only take off 6 of the clams off the bill. I would of had a way better meal McDonald's. Very disappointed how management handled the situation. Would not recommend eating here.

I think Blu has a great atmosphere outside but .....it's very overpriced for the quality of the food and the service .... went this past Sunday and ordered clam cakes and chowder .... the chowder was room temp at best and was served with it spilling all over the place ... I was afraid to eat it because it wasn't hot and I was afraid it was served at an unsafe temp ! I didn't complain because I know they would have just popped into a microwave to heat it up . Very unsatisfying ... I read that this establishment received many violations from the dept of health. ... they really need to step up their game !

Great place for an afternoon lunch. Service was excellent and the food was extraordinary. I ordered to hot, buttered lobster roll. When it came out I was pleasantly pleased at the size of the sandwich. Highly recommend this location

This place is top notch all the way, great food, great staff, nice relaxed water view, doesn't get much better than that.

Worst dining experience I have ever had. We were a party if 11. Gave us a pager, it went off someone else gave away our table. They took us in the back, down a filthy hallway by their absolutely filthy kitchen to a room we referred to as a dungeon. Tried to reason with the manager, who by the way, was rude, uncaring, arrogant, and not one bit sympathetic to our dilemma. I wanted to leave. I was totally grossed out by the kitchen. The rest of the group wanted to give the place a chance. Big mistake. Worst food, server ok. My husband decided to call the manager again when we were home. The manager again could have cared less and hung up on my husband. As I said, worst dining experience ever.

Good food but not great pacing for the meal. Appetizers came out in about 15 minutes, then a 30-35 minute wait (maybe longer) before the entrees were served. While we were a party of 10, several meals were kids meals and 3 people had clam cakes and chowder. Server did the best she could do under the circumstances.

Picked a cold day to have dinner outside, but in spite of that, had a great time. Beautiful spot, complementary valet parking, great wait staff, and so excited to learn they have Beyond Meat Burgers. Food and drinks were all excellent!

My boyfriend and I had such a great dinner here last night! The food was delicious, the server was on point, and the ambiance (minus the drunk people stumbling and dropping f-bombs ((and on a side note, who gets drunk on a Tuesday night)) was delightful. I can’t wait to revisit on our next trip to Rhode Island. �

Twice I’ve been to Blu on the Water this has been my experience. Three weeks ago I sat at the bar about 10 minutes before I was even acknowledged. I felt my tattoos were looked down on by the staff. Didn’t have my Polo shirt on. Yesterday I arrived on my motorcycle which is worth $35,000. I was denied parking in the lot. There were 6 empty spots. Was told by a 20 something kid I could park across the street in a dirt lot. I declined and went to a restaurant that does not discriminate based on how you look or what you drive. Pass this on.

Staff was very professional.. Food&Drinks was on point.. Music was good as well..I'll definitely will go back again.....

Gorgeous atmosphere, the place was super-packed because of how popular this spot is, and the performances by World Premiere Band and their DJ were awesome and brought everyone to the dance floor...we loved it!

Awesome ambiance, awesome food, awesome drinks. The only thing that’s annoying is how long you have to wait for your valet to get your car! Other than that, well worth it :)

Beautiful surroundings, wait staff very friendly & food was great. A plus that we could take our dog🐾
