Thank you for the beautiful meal, wonderful atmosphere and impeccable service. The food was quite possibly the best we've ever had. The crispy duck appetizer was incredible as was the escargot, and the Dover sole and rack of lamb was just amazing. I'm quite certain that every time we come to Vermont we will be dining at Chantecleer.

A gem! I think this place was probably the best restaurant I’ve ever been to. Ask for the sole they fillet it in front of you. All the desserts are made in house and they’re all fantastic. I think it’s worth any trek to come here

Wow. We just had dinner for the first time and it was excellent! We came in on a mid-week night in the middle of a snow storm and the place was half full, we sat on the side that was not full (empty) next to Dennis the penguin. It was a little awkward with us being the only ones on that side of the dining room, there were lots of chickens everywhere, and the background elevator music was really something but once we got used to it man that was a great meal. Our hostess/waitress was super welcoming, totally on top of the experience, and the service was excellent. The food start to finish was excellent too. The escargot was amazing, so garlicky, and perfectly cooked. The schnitzel was very light and tender, sirloin was cooked dead on perfect med rare and a very nice cut, and both the fries and spatzle where very tasty. Oh, best side/starter salad ever. Can't wait to go back!

Fine dining at its best. My escargot was mouthwatering and lamb cooked to perfection. We came here for a company party and thought it was the perfect atmosphere for the occasion. The restaurant is thoughtfully decorated, warm and inviting. I highly recommend this restaurant for formal occasions!

I just got back from a trip to St. Martin in March where I ate escargot almost every day. The escargot here was by far the best I’ve ever tasted from anywhere!

One of the fun things about going up to Southern Vermont is that every time I go I find a new fun eatery that I didn't know existed the previous time I had been there. Such is the case with Chanticleer. The food is well priced, with good sized portions and the service is excellent. Our server, Tammy, was very attentive without being overly solicitous. My sense is that locals eat here on a very regular basis. I have no doubt that as long as there is no shut down again this place should continue to do well. I certainly hope so and I certainly plan to go back again.

Great food, great service, great ambiance. It was our first time there, and we would definitely go back. One thing: we were not aware of how dressy it would be. Most men were in blazers and women in dresses.

This is a new favorite of ours. We got a full course + drinks and loved every bit of it. Probably some of the best lamb chops I've had and the duck was perfectly cooked and delicious. We'll definitely be back

Consistently the best prepared food whether it is lamb or fish.There are always a few entree selections on the menu that make me wish I was coming back 3 or 4 nights in a row. The same is true for appetizers and deserts. The wine list has something for every taste. My favorite place!
