Great food and great service! Our server was wonderful and very attentive! Food was great! Lunch specials available and we were able to take advantage of those. Also great beer options!

This will be a two part review.... 06/05/21 We called ahead and asked if a party of 12 could be accommodated, we were told yes and I let our other party know. My coworker was visiting her son and his family who are newly stationed here and she was returning home that night, and I arrived Friday evening to visit my kids who are also stationed here in Alaska. We thought this would be a great way to introduce them and strike up a new friendship. 1: We arrived and were waiting for our tables to be ready, we were taken upstairs to the bar and to our surprise tge tables were not able to move so our party of twelve were seated at 3 different tables defeating the purpose of or families talking to each other and interacting together. 2: Our orders were taken and then began the wait, our drinks took a bit as well, although I will say the Whiskey Sour I ordered was very good. The food finally came for some of the tables, we ordered more pretzel bites and those came to the table before the two other Food orders arrived. Sadly the orders were not placed until it was too late as my coworker needed to be at the airport. When the food Finally arrived it was time to leave. The food was Amazing and you get plenty, I truly wish the rest of our party had been able to experience that. On another note they have a different section outdoors with ax throwing, live band and food. We may give that a try. I recommend, but just be prepared to wait.

Trivia Tuesdays are a great time, staff is awesome and attentive without being overbearing. The atmosphere was also very pleasant, didn't hear any belligerent peeps or anyone not having a good time. 👌

Went to a concert here. Beer was great, lots of food choices. Music sound and venue were superb. It did smell like weed real bad over by the dumpster, nothing they could do about that though, I am far too sneaky.

Odd man rush definitely has better beer but Matanuska serves food so it’s 50/50. All in all matanuska has some decent brew for sure and there fries with their brew is great! The atmosphere can be chaotic at busy times but other than that is very nice. The staff are always super helpful and they do a good range between dark porter/stouts and IPA’s for sure. This is definitely a staple place for Eagle River residences!
