We found this place by accident. What a wonderful find!!! Home cooked chicken, rice and veggies plus a fabulous peach cobbler for under $20 for the two of us. Highly recommended.

Found this little gem while on a route. The food is amazing, its like how grandma used to make it. I got 2 pieces of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, hush puppies a side of deviled eggs and banana pudding with a sweet tea all for 11$. Best meal ive had in ages! If you are looking for good country cooking then Home plate is the place to go. Delicious, they give you a lot for the money. Only one draw back, they close at 2:00 so you have to get there by 1:30 or most of the meats will be gone. Friendly staff.

Slap ya mama flavorful food ready to go in cafeteria style. I kept looking for my mama and granny in the kitchen, but couldn’t find them. Excellent choice for great food, fast and at a reasonable price for the large portions.

I've been wanting to go here for a while but was a little disappointed when I did. The hushpuppies had a mix of being either rock hard or barley cooked. The country steak wasn't very good. But the chicken was decent. I would love to support this restaurant but they seem like they've given up.
