Can I gush a little? My guy friends from elementary school planned a little birthday dinner for me at Fratelli Ponzi Fine Food and Wine Bar this year. It was such a sweat gesture and they even brought a cake. I love these guys.
Lovely European-style cafe locale to enjoy a varied selection of regional and Italian wines and specialty drinks, as well as some great artisan meats, cheeses, and other small plates. Really loved spending a few weekend hours here enjoying the fare and soaking in the atmosphere.
Great place for a cocktail before dinner! Their menu also had small plates that could be ordered but the atmosphere was great and the service was spot on.

Expensive, I watched a young couple view the menu then leave. Nice location, mediocre atmosphere. Busy. Could temper their prices alittle. Food good, a little on the salty side. Absolutely the best pizza of my life. Including my travels in New York, Chicago, Paris, Rome, Florence... Unbelievable that it could even make the short list. Maybe once, in Rome, I had something comparable. Finding this in Dundee was just beyond all expectations.
Excellent as always. The Pinot Gris is just the thing for a rainy and muggy August evening.
