Grimaldi's consistently produces high quality Italian cuisine in a friendly atmosphere. A cozy bar and pub area are available for a quick meal also. Lots of parking too!

Great atmosphere. Great selection of your typical Italian dishes. Reasonably priced. In a very odd location between all the hotels but I was pleasantly surprised. Veal Parm was great. I would recommend this if your staying in one of the hotels near by.

This place is a rock solid 4. Veal Parm is a mainstay for me and Grimaldi's didn't disappoint. Sauce had a nice flavor and it wasn't soaked. Check it out.

Awesome food and service! The icing on the cake was the cotton candy at the end! Such a nostalgic way to end an amazing dinner! We will surely be back!

Favorite. We live in the area, and are Italian. Need I say more? Best sauces in town, all fresh cooked, real Italian atmosphere (maybe because the Owner's are Italian). I have yet to have room for one of the home-baked Italian desserts that look sooo good! Service is always excellent. Prices are average for this type of fare in the area, but you always feel 5-star treatment with 5-star food. No hesitation to specialize a plate, and the cook himself will come to your table to be sure it is to your liking. We go here often, always watch for the occasional Coupon Clipper, Groupon, or Living Social deals, (can't resist the appetizers so we safe a little bit and add one on.) A definite must-eat!!

Italian-Grimaldi's: Best in Luna Park/Carrier Circle. Osso buco (to die for), linguini with clam sauce (light, rich in flavor, tons of clams), and bread w/dipping oils...always incredibly scrumptious. I have never had a better caesar dressing or rich dipping oil with cheese and seasonings. I always leave so satisfied and know that the "family" will always be friendly and welcoming. ...and be sure to ask Matthew to sing his operatic Happy Birthday to you!

We stopped in for dinner on a Tuesday night, to celebrate my 60th birthday. It was kind of fitting because at 16 years old I was working at the Grimaldi's on Erie boulevard, so full circle, lol. We had 4:30 reservations, so beat the crowd in a bit and were seated promptly. It was the start of a wonderful experience, thanks to Chloe, out waitress. We had the Utica Greens for an app, and they were perfect, flavorful, with a helping of heat. Simply put, this is the standard All Utica Greens should be measured by, lol. My wife ordered the lasagna, and I had chicken riggies. The lasagna was tender, with a hefty amount of ricotta, in a slightly sweet sauce. The riggies were piled high, chock full of peppers and tender chicken chunks, and seasoned with just enough heat to get my attention. Fresh salad, and equally fresh bread made for perfect sides. A special shout out to Chloe here. She was not only a flawlessly attentive waitress, but when I mentioned that I had worked at the original Erie boulevard location back in the '70s, she pointed out several older photos scattered about. It brought back a wave of nostalgia from when I worked with Joey, Dennis, Marc, John, and Rico. So many friends who went on to open their own restaurants! All in all, it made for a very special evening. I will miss the Grimaldi name on restaurants, but I look forward to the new owners carrying on the tradition.

Was a wonderful Italian restaurant. Great ambience and staff. Bread was tasty at the start of the meal. My sister ordered a custom, off the menu meal and it came out awesome without any trouble. The meal included pasta with shrimp, scallops, and chicken. The scallops were big and I tried some and loved it. The chicken parm I ordered was also delicious. For dessert we got cotton candy which was good and a scrumptious chocolate peanut butter pie. Would definately recommend.

Grimaldi's was absolutely fantastic!!! I've never been there before, but I visited with my mom and sister. We tried the calamari appetizer and they also served us bread with butter. The bread was FRESH out of the oven, so yummy 😋 I got the eggplant parmesan and my mom and sister got chicken francaise. All of us devoured our meals! The waiter, John, was polite, efficient, and very personable. There wasn't a large menu to choose from, but John explained that it's because they pride themselves on fresh ingredients and Covid has made them less busy. Then we ordered two of the desserts, one having a white chocolate mousse with blue compote and the other being a pistachio cheesecake with hazelnut filling. This restaurant was just like a homey Italian experience. We'll definitely be coming back again 👌

Friendly staff. Broccoli cheese soup was great. Oven warmed bread with a great olive oil to dip in. Chichen bianco had large pieces of mushrooms and a good portion of chicken. I could barely finish my meal. Will return in the future.

Friendly staff, good selection of appetizers, salads and entrees. We were there early for dinner on Good Friday without a reservation but they seated us at a booth. The dining room was filling up quickly while we ate. I had the grilled salmon in a lemon butter sauce served with saffron risotto and green beans. The entrees come with a salad. The salmon was prepared well and well-seasoned. They did not overpower the plate with a heap of risotto but a nice small portion which was perfect. And as a finish, a complimentary plate of cotton candy! Yum!

Truly can't be beat. We've been eating here for years, and have yet to have a less than stellar experience. The staff is what makes a restaurant successful, and these guys set the bar high. They didn't bat an eye when we showed up unannounced with a party of 14. They seated us, and took great care of all of us. This time, it was fried meatballs and veal parm. It would be a challenge to say which was better, both were excellent. The veal made it home, and was even a delicious breakfast. Can't beat this place. Easy parking, great location, exceptional staff and excellent food!

In a word, phenomenal. 3rd generation high-end Italian restaurant with a wide variety of entrees to suit everybody's preferences. Outstanding wait staff provides excellent service. And the food .... Delicious, large portions so there is enough to take some home for later. Every table gets a dish of cotton candy after dinner as a bit of fun and nostalgia. Can't wait to go back and try another entree.

I travel all over the US and I have say one of the best Italian restaurants! I had the Veal Milanese and it was amazing!! The waitress/bartender Bianca was the best I’ve seen in a long time. She was handling multiple tables and was super quick. I ordered a cocktail she walks away and less than a minute back with it! Also try her Espresso Martini very good should be an added drink on the menu!! Thanks for a super amazing Italian meal!! Can’t wait until I am back here! To the owner: please open one in Tampa,FL you will make a million, nothing down there comes close!! PS The reviews that say you are pricey have no clue. Your prices are average to lower then most for the large portions you get. Keep up the great food!!!!

I have eaten spaghetti and meatballs less and less over the years because it's become more difficult to find a good spaghetti and meatballs. When visiting Grimaldi's, I just had a taste for it and hoped for the best. It was the best spaghetti and meatballs I remember ever eating! Both the sauce and meatballs were top notch. It came with a dinner salad with what I'm presuming to be be homemade Italian/house dressing. That was so good! My only regret is I was only passing through Syracuse so i can't get it more often. It is a restaurant though I would be willing to create a trip around some day!

The food is fantastic. Good sized, well priced. The bar made me a perfect Manhattan up. The wine selection was limited, but good. Ambiance is the only thing lacking however the wonderful service males up for this.

Great service from friendly people. I had the lasagna and it was perfect. Not to hot where you had to either burn your mouth eating it or let it sit and cool off. Great flavor and perfect portions. I suggest the Syracuse pale ale for the beer lovers. I would definitely go back

Great food! We left stuffed and we were all very happy with our selections. The staff were all very warm and friendly. It’s a comfortable, cozy atmosphere. If we lived in the area this would be a regular spot for us. It’s amazing!

A great Italian meal! The entire meal was amazing from bread to chocolate cake. My husband had a steak he said was cooked perfectly. I had the rigatoni with sausage, ricotta and spinach, it was amazing, I highly recommend it. My son is 8 and ordered a cheeseburger off the kids menu. We were concerned of the portion size since its kids menu and he is a hungry boy buy it was a very generous size burger with lots of fries. Everything was so good! If we were local we would be here alot!

Really good food, excellent service. Ordered the Delmonico special, didn't really come with much for sides - just a few green beans and some mushrooms. A starch would have been good. Otherwise excellent. Steak was cooked perfectly. Utica greens were just ok but the calamari app was very good and well seasoned. My wife ordered the short ribs and while didn't look very appetizing, tasted wonderful. Staff was great.
