The Lafayette special is well worth it. The buns are soft, the dogs just pops when you bite it, and then the chili, onion, mustard are just classic mixes on all coney dogs.

Casing was a little tough but my grandson did a Coney challenge and we both agreed the flavor of Lafayette dogs was better but we wished the casing wasn't so tough.

A classic spot. Loved the skin on the hot dogs and how they pop. The normal amount of onions seems really large so maybe ask for light onions.
They accept credit cards but I think they charge extra for it so just pay with cash.
Vernor's Ginger Ale is great so make sure you try it while in Michigan
They are consistently TERRIBLE with coney dogs. It cant be that hard to scoop out some premade chili and put it on a hot dog, smh. But, they manage to mess it up EVERY SINGLE TIME. 0/10, would NEVER recommend. This is my experience every time I go there. This will be my last time. Next door is just
